Most people don’t know this, but in Bo4 and Cold War, you don’t actually have to control the gunship. You can exit out of it and it will switch to AI mode and keep firing for however much time is left.

If anybody still cares about Bo4 and play it somewhat frequently, a real hard counter to Scorestreaks is the Paladin HB50 with FMJ 2. It can take everything down in 1-6 shots, EXCEPT for the Thresher and Gunship. You also need to be accurate cause it's a Sniper Rifle, not an Assault Rifle.
Edit: You can take down the thresher, THOUGH!!...I don't recommend it as it should take 6 shots and it's already hard enough to hit the damn thing and at most calculate when to try and shoot it.
