I don't see germans ever saying words in their native language with non mative speakers unless they don't know the word, but italians do it all the time, especially new york italians, also some chinese people do it like my wife, I do it sometimes but only if I'm insulting someone mid conversation(I'm Puerto Rican), but the only German guy I have ever met who would randomly drop words that are of another language when in conversation with me was a dude who knew a bunch of languages and wanted to show off(especially with polish). So for me I'd guess Clutch is born from German parents but somewhere else in the world and German is his second language and he wants to show off
Vonclutch use of German reminds me of how other english dialects or english adjacent languages interact with each other. I'll use scots words and then realise they have no clue what im saying. We also use it more with non scots speakers cause its funny. "Aye, that jacket's glaikit. Sorry, i meant its ugly".
