I wonder if Jerusalem had remained part of Jordan much of the strife of the middle east would have been avoided. 1964 - seems like a golden age now, at least I was part of that age.

There was never a people called Jordanians. They were created by the British after WW1. The destiny of Transjordan and the West Bank was to be the Palestinian nation. All the same people.
