- Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor ( HORC )connecting Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhouda is broad gauge duble railway line for passenger and freight traffic. It will provide seamless connectivity to Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) at Prithala station and to Indian Railways at Palwal, Patli, Sultanpur, Asaudha and Harsana Kalan stations.
This project will be benificial to the industrial Hubs of Kharkhouda, Manesar and Sohna and will help in development of this region of Haryana
Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC), with target completion by 31 March 2025, is an under construction twin-track 121.7-kilometre (75.6 mi)-km long, 160 km per hour high-speed, railway project in Haryana state of India, which will run around along the Western Peripheral Expressway (WPE) on the western side of Delhi.[1][2][3]
It connects Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda. At Palwal, Patli (Delhi-Rewari line), Sultanpur (Garhi Harsaru-Farukhnagar line), Asaudha (Delhi-Rohtak line) and Harsana Kalan (Delhi-Ambala line) railway stations, it will connect to existing railway lines running radially from Delhi. It will also connect to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) at Prithala near Palwal railway station. It will transport 20,000 passengers a day and 50 MTPA cargo

In the 1960s, PSUs were provided dedicated lines and sidings. Slowly, over the decades, road transportation killed the concept of industrial sidings. Good to see IR reviving this idea. Hope they cover more industry and warehousing clusters. This will cut diesel consumption as IR is now 100% electric traction providing higher efficiency.

Delhi Mumbai Expressway first Section Innaugration was in Rajasthan Section on March 2023.
Why not complete expressway in Gujarat and Madhya pradesh.

And why call it high speed at 160?Rajdhani has been running at 150 kph on some routes, and those are old and “non high speed” tracks!
Currently no line is allowed for more than 160 km/h, that's why this was not allowed more than that, but the line can be upgraded as per demands in the future as the line is capable, only little changes needed to make it 180-200 km/h
