You could probably take the CO2 pump setting, wave some math at it, and derive an estimated instantaneous O2 production rate. If the player O2 consumption rate is known you could then subtract that and chart the result to get a constantly updated indication of just how much trouble you're in. A bit more of the same could then get you peak potential water production rate. The results would only be valid while the room is in steady state though.
I think the crotch fungus episode proves that a brutal start either requires early attempts with a trader or processing of all furnace waste to reclaim O2, at least in environments like Vulcan and Venus
The brutal start would have been solved quite quickly using stock food. Plants and nutrition mod makes it very difficult. Making an early start with genetics might be more of a help.
@@cowsareevil7514 Ah, ya keep forgetting about the mod. Would be interesting in this save to use genetic manipulation to engineer highly oxygen producing potatoes.
I am going to steal that dial idea for the Co2 but also use one for the greenhouse temperature so it's easier to change them. Why didn't I think of that before and kept on messing with the code every time I wanted to make a change. 53:00 yeah the paint hitbox seems broken if there is a dial on a pipe, only way to fix it is to take the dial off, paint it and put the dial back. Hope you didn't expand the plants to fast 🤞
If you see an solution and think "That's brilliant" it is probably not a good idea. If you see an solution and think "Well Duh, That's so simple, why didnt I think of that" it most likely is a good idea.
@@cowsareevil7514 As a software engineer I try to encourage other engineers to never attempt to be clever. Obey KISS and if you produce something clever, good for you.
There’s a Cornish expression “directly “ meaning sometime in the future. So you are going to setup that airlock directly 😬 Thx for the entertainment the missing pipe drama has kept me 😁 for a few episodes
Mick - Have a thought on how you might be able to solve your oxygen problem. Separate your living area from your growing area since your character can survive in a low pressure environment. Then increase the CO2 in growing section up to 80% and plant a lot more ferns since they aren't an edible plant and they might need less water to grow. But I am not sure about that part since I am not further with this mod you are using. (edited) Mick - I round the mod you are using in the Steam Workshop and was reviewing it. I noticed something interesting that you may have overlooked. It appears the Mushroom plant is similar to the standard one in game without any mod changes and if this is the case. Then it would be a good idea to grow that ine instead of the ferns. In addition, the rice plant might be a better choice to grow since if you make canned Rice pudding you will get more nutritional value as oppose to the Potato plant and you will need lees of them as well to consume.
Hmm, Mick started tidying up again - seems like once again he's seen the spectre of the fellow with the scythe who wears a hood and goes by the name of Bill Door when he's on holidays* * If you know your Terry Pratchett novels

All is well, the graph will set us free. Every time Mick goes by the phase change cooling I have a craving for spaghetti.

I will get directly onto it.

Have you ever had crutch fungus? And if so, did you also sprout ferns?

Oh a new series on vulcan! Wanted to catch up but its in the wrong order
Crotch ferns are still going strong!
All thanks to the wateranal device.
Might be time for a sun dial. Hole dial. Whatever.
Why cant/wont he degas gold for O2?
Too little reward for the cost, the extra 02 ends up negligible.
Why wont people read the comments?
