It's true. I face the same issue on my MG Zs EV. On cruise control, if undulations of flyovers or steep climbs and falls, the car tries to keep the speed maintained instantly. Hence proving in loss of battery percentage due to extreme acceleration.
This is real good value car. Don't compare with Byd E6 it is 90-95 bhp car 180 Nm torque while this atto is 200+bhp with 310 Nm. Most quality ICE cars with 200+ bhp cost 25-35 range so this is for performance lover with great mileage if driven @80-100. Byd E6 is for high usage commuters with 5 lakh km warranty. Unless you are commuting 200 km daily to and fro, Byd atto 3 feels like value. Hopefully will be able to afford some day. MG needs to launch MG 4EV in India it's also 400+ km and 200Hp

@@rambvs if you are 60km commuter go for Nexon ev max but yours is 150km. The thing with bigger battery is it also gives more calendar life as batteries charging cycles are around 1200 so for smaller 200Km tata Tiago you will get 240000 km(1200*200) lifetime till battery degrades for 300-325km real life range of Nexon ev max it's 360000-390000 km life time. Byd atto 3 with real range at 420-450 it's around 500000 km life. For 150km your 10year usage will shoot past 550000 km so BETTER GO WITH E6 not atto3. As it will be an investment with should last atleast 10 years. Also because in EV, high power comes at cost to mileage unlike ICE where difference is not that drastic. So if you drive at full hp your mileage will drop. E6 is specifically for taxi drivers in china and atto 3 is for luxury users

I had atto 3 in my mind byt couldnt afford it, but 70kw byd e6 makes absolute sense 👌 also had honda city hybrid in mind but running costs will be huge and car wont be lasting long. My req is 150km daily only for 3 years then occasional long drives once a month or two.
@@rambvs then you need not shelve out 30L for even E6 as your 3 year run would be around 150000km you can go for Nexon ev max around 17-18L. But your warranty would be void by 3rd year end as it covers only 150000Km unlike byd E6 that covers 5 lakh km warranty and some shuttle drivers in chin have driven 7.5 lakh km and still giving 290km range. I have done around 2500 kms in my Atto 3 and usual range is pretty close to the claim as far as city drive is concerned, however on my past 3 highway trips the battery depletes very fast, I usually drive close to expressway speeds (120-125 kmph) at Normal drive mode and barely get 300-350 kms of range. I will try to drive more sedately and post the range next time, though I doubt Eco mode makes much difference in terms of range (as you don't accelerate much on straight expressways).
Update : Recently done another highway trip, kept it under speed limits (90-120), got 405kms without any issues.
That’s great. I don’t get more then 200km on highway speeds 100-120 in my ZS.
Excellent. One great thing about blade battery is less worry about full charging and full depletion which is a case with NCM batteries. Highway drive also doesn't have much scope for regenaration, so range will be less than city drive. Congrates on new car.

I guess you were driving most of the time more than 100, so could that be the reason why you able to get 420km. Coz when i saw the official site it showed 520. But difference of 100 means even e6 performed better so. Could that be reason?
I got an atto3 for myself, fortunate enough to be in the initial bunch of customers in India, it's been 18 days since delivery, done 1000 kms, my observation is that on highways if we maintain 80kmph it gives 470-480 km range, however if 95-100 kmph speed maintained then real range is 420-430 km
Battery size is 72kw in e6..compared to 60kw in atto3..thats the difference...ull see the differnve of 70kms between both
