Don’t let anyone tell you your over reacting to your child moving out and to college it’s a major event in your families lives. No one gets to tell you how to process that! You’re fine with your emotions and your feelings are valid! You can be happy for her and sad for your household. It’s an adjustment for everyone in your home as well as her.
I cried for an entire month when my daughter went to college. It was horrible.
Allie B, I couldn't agree with you more!!! My daughter moved four hours away and I was devastated. No one should be telling anyone how to handle these events in life.
Ariana, just remember to be true to whom you are. Always ask yourself this. Will this promote whom I want to be? Will this hurt myself or others? Do I really need those munchies at 3 am? Lol.

I really saw the pain in Hannah’s eyes and just her body language. She was shaking. I hope she’s doing okay now that more of the older kids are moving out and things are changing. I hope the best for her I know you guys are there for her and will comfort her. Sending the best wishes!

My daughter is an officer in the Army and she’s out in the world too after college - it’s so hard! My biggest advice to Ariana as a senior for my bachelor's, take advantage of EVERYTHING the school has to offer. Email professors and TAs if u have questions, go to their office hours, get tutoring if the school has it especially if they have special study sessions for exams, go to advisor drop in hours, if yur struggling emotionally/mentally see if yur school has campus therapists. Utilize everything.
Second this. Very sound advice! To Ariana: You can even go to tutors to keep you on track and stay focused. It doesn’t have to be because you’re falling behind. And also therapy. It doesn’t have to be dire. Go if you need to talk or process. Just find your way and stay organized. Best of luck! And congratulations.

Omg. This episode got me. I love the relationship the kids have with each other. And when Hannah and Bella started crying it got me the most. Growing up in the foster care system you always hope to have relationships with your own siblings like your kids have each other. I love how your kids really love and care for each other. Good luck Ariana in college. Enjoy the experience and meeting new people. I didn’t want to go college right at 18 but I got my BSW and MSW later in life. But now I have my MSW and working for cps working with foster parents and training them to be better foster parents

Oh man, seeing Hannah cry always gets me :( Her heart is so big and you can tell she takes it the hardest when someone moves out or a big change happens, you can always see the amount of pain she's in through her eyes, body language and vulnerability. She's been through so much and I really hope she's doing alright with all these changes, I've noticed she's been more quiet for awhile. But I know she's so strong and has an amazing support system surrounding her
This actually hits too close to home, because this August I am also moving out to college to pursue my master's in a different city... literally 8 hours drive away from home. I started crying the moment I clicked on this video... kuddos to us both, Ariana :")

my heart breaks everytime a kid moves out. it’s the cycle of life but it never gets easier. it’s been so amazing to be able to see them grow up and be part of their journey. i am so happy for Ariana, she has such a great character and will continue to make you guys proud. sending hugs and hoping as the days go by that the younger kids feel better ❤️🩹
Word of advice from someone who just finished their freshman year. It’s very easy to get distracted with friends and going out, especially not having you parents to constantly check and ensure you are staying on track with school. It can be hard to balance your school work with your social life but you got it!!!❤️Can’t wait to hear about your first year:)

I have cried for 34:11 Arianna no matter how overwhelming college can be, just push through it. Think of what your outcome will be when you finish. Your family are always by your side. Call them, message them, FaceTime them. Speak of them to your new friends. You have grown up in front of alot of us viewers, & speaking for myself, you can do this.

Search for desk shelves for dorms! They have these modular units that sit on top of the desk helping to maximize the space! So glad the moving crew got to go - I know they are so proud of their sister! ♥️
Give bella and hannah extra loves and cuddles to help them cope with her being gone. They will hopefully get to talk to her every night and still be able to keep that close bond. Congratulations Ariana you have this and make your family proud

I literally cried 😭 Ariana is one of the kids here that I really admire. Her siblings obviously loved her a lot and she made an impact to them. Hoping for a safe and wonderful college life to Ari 🤍

As much as I cried throughout this video, I am still so happy and hopeful about the future for Ariana. I did notice how difficult it is for Hannah and Bella to say goodbye. I'm sure with the many losses they have suffered in their lives, this one is very difficult to bear. The wonderful thing is that this is a lifelong, lasting bond and there will be many hugs and laughter, and experiences to share in the future. I love you all!💗💗💗💗💗💗

Oh man, watching Bella and Hannah just shattered my heart. You're right, she is a piece of your puzzle, and having that piece go away is definitely life changing. I seriously just want to give everyone a hug, especially Bella and Hannah. You could tell Bella was REALLY struggling. I definitely hope they find time to talk to Arianna as often as they need to. Good luck Arianna, stay focused on getting your classwork done, and if you're feeling down, lonely, unmotivated, call up someone from home and do some studying together via Zoom. Also, do a Zoom session over dinner if you miss their company. You'll get to experience a bit of all of that chaos, and you'll not feel so far from home.
Hannah seems really sad and distant and I hope she will be okay 👍. Arianna we are going to miss you and your bright cheery smile and laughter. I know that you will do great things and it's going to be hard at first being away from your family, but yo will get through it. Oh my gosh! This took me back to the day we took our son to college. I remember walking away from that dorm and leaving him there was a feeling I can’t even describe. Today he is a Pastor with a wonderful wife and four amazing sons. He was the first to make me a mom and I am so very proud of him and the Godly man he has become. Those first steps of his leaving home were so hard to watch but the life he has built for him and his family is built on that foundation. May God Bless you and keep you and may you know His peace.

I have been with you all since the beginning a Crazy Pieces, Everytime one of your kids accomplishes something, I feel like a proud Aunt, I laugh with you guys, I cry with you guys and I get excited with you guys, you all are really like an extended family to me♥️
This broke me because I finally see what my Mum went through when I went off to university. I wasn't quite as close, but she had to leave me in a new city three hours away with a broken door. My landlords were lovely btw, but Mum barely made it up the road before bawling and bawled when she got home too. I know she was proud of me for moving and going to university, but also seeing everyone so upset, I can see how much of struggle it was for Mum and everyone back home too. I hope Ariana has the best time ever at college!

My son is finishing up his first year of college 450-500 miles away and only saw him 5 days this year . Picking him up next week for his 3 week summer break. Sounds bad but the best thing for her is to stay and not come home as much so she can grow as an individual (esp with that large family) and can grow close with friends and experience college. It’s been wonderful for my sons personal growth.

this video opened my eyes to how it must’ve felt when i moved away from home the first couple times. the way that my mom described the feeling when i left for a few months to do the disney college program twice (i was 13 hours away from home), was the house feels so quiet and almost off balance. im one of 4 kids and even though they were talking and doing their daily routines, not having that one person it just feels so empty. my brothers were so torn with me leaving as well, and when i moved back, it was amazing.
i didn’t understand what she meant until two of my brothers moved out, leaving one of my brothers and i here at home. they live 10-15 minutes away from us and visit all the time, but it feels so empty and im bored all of the time now that they aren’t here and it’s just my brother and i.

I feel you, Crystal, it hurts your heart when you have had a child daily, and all of a sudden they are no longer there everyday, but take comfort in the fact that you raised some awesome kids, and when they are ready to leave the nest, it is because you and AAron have given them the love that they needed and the confidence that they can make it in this crazy world. Job well done to both of you
My advice as a college athlete to another… is don’t come home every weekend! It sounds insane but the more you stay, the more you can bond!
If she wants to go home every weekend, she can .. that's her choice .. please don't advise her against that .. that's not good advice to give
I actually had a lot harder adjustment the first month because my parents visited every weekend, and it made it harder to just get used to being at school. Having multiple weeks away helped the adjustment at school so much more, so I totally see where you're coming from with this advice!
It's definitely harder to get used to be away from your family if you don't have some space in the beginning

Thats the feeling of every mother. But you should always know whaty mom said"The Universe will kick you out of your nest so you can fly. But you always comes back to the nest finally". So its ok to cry but ariana will always come to the nest eventually.If possible just send this qoute to ariana that my mother said"Whenever You Find Yourself Doubting How Far You Can Go, Just Remember How Far You Have Come. Remember Everything You Have Faced, All The Battles You Have Won, And All The Fears You Have Overcome."

Congrats Ariana! Advice from a college graduate- don’t get so swept up in your social life that you forget what’s most important- your studies and finding your career path. I’m 29 and I still haven’t found it because I spent all my time partying and having too much fun. Stay focused girl! 💕
The ending was perfect, you made it very understandable and relatable. Id also like to say that change is a necessary part of life, its hard, but it happens and alot of times its out of our control. Ari leaving helps your pieces learn to cope with these changes. It's a part of growth and im so happy everyone has your family to help them learn these necessary coping skills. You're ensuring when they get out into the world and change happens they'll understand whats happening and have better skills to deal with those changes. The puzzle is just getting more beautiful, the pieces still fit together perfectly.

Crystal can you give me their used clothes and shoes next time they clean up. I take care orphans in Congo, and I have pictures and videos to prove it. I use my own money as an LPN, and never enough. People give me their used clothes and I ship them with food I get from donations. I am really begging you .
Congratulations Arianna. 🥳 🎉 You are going to do amazing things. Remember to find balance. Balance within yourself, with school, fun, family and all the other great things life has to offer. Never buckle under any form of pressure. Peer pressure can be brutal but you have a strong set of morals and values, stand TRUE to yourself. While your studies are IMPORTANT as long as you are trying your hardest/best don't let grades rule your emotions. Many people feel so much pressure from other to succeed that it can crumble when grades don't meet expectations. I know you will do well. But if not, don't let it drag your self worth or esteem down. It's sad to say but many student have been pushed to far over grades.
this is so cute 🥺 my advice is take the calendar section (with assignment dates) out of your syllabi, and put all the dates in your planner, and make a checklist of every assignment laid out on the syllabus for every class. that way you can check everything off as you go and do assignments a few weeks early if you have time.

Hearing you speak of the dynamic change is so true. You’re mourning the loss/change of what will never be the same, while being proud and excited for what’s to come for HER. It’s a difficult transition but one that you’ve prepared her for and we’re all proud of the new roads Ariana is taking for her future. Good luck girl! Don’t get toooo caught up in the fun. I didn’t leave for college until I was 20. It was only 1.5 hours away. It’s been almost 20 years and I can still remember how hard it was to watch my family (mom, dad and grandparents) drive away. My first year was REALLY hard. I’m sitting here in isolation because of a known exposure and all I want to do is go hug my Gramma. Change isn’t always easy, and it’s different for everyone. I hope that Ariana has an amazing year! ❤️

You never have to explain the love you have for your children. I was adopted at 3 weeks old. It will be 3 yrs in Sept since I lost my momma and we were super close. I do not think most people understand how hard it is and may think it's too much how much I miss my momma, but I do not care, because the love of a mother and a daughter can not be matched.

I feel ya mama, I literally cried from start to finish my eldest is 18 and I dread the day he moves out. I have a lot of siblings so to see Hannah and Bella so upset it truly breaks my heart and as a mom you know they are safe and are doing great and your super proud its really hard to let go and let them make their own choices but you guys are such wonderful parents and all your kids are amazing people because of you. In fact I've heard you say a few times to some of the older teens to make good choices and as my own 18yr old goes out with friends to parties and even just to work I've found my self saying to him I love you make good choices and ring me anytime if you need anything or find yourself in a situation you don't want to be in. I love you guys, your great, and know you have prepared Ariana for anything that comes her way and for the things she's not prepared for she will ring you. ❤️

Watching this made re-experience the emotions from when I moved out. It hurts us (kids) too. It finally hits that home won't be the same as it used to be even when visiting. You'll start seeing the changes of getting older in not only yourself, but with your family/parents.
Also, for anyone who is saying “why are you guys acting like you’ll never see her again or why are you acting like she’s never coming home”, y’all clearly don’t know what some of these kids have experienced. A feeling of abandonment can be brought to the surface when a sibling moves out or goes to college. You have no room to ask why they are sad when you don’t know what they have been through and the dynamic that will change when a sibling moves out, etc. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Unless you have lived it, you don’t have a clue what they are feeling, and nobody needs to judge or ask questions that are pointless.

Oh Crystal, I feel every emotion you are feeling and bawled my way through this entire video! She is going to spread her wings but she will always fly back to you no matter what. My baby girl is going to college in a month and then it’s an empty nest for me. My heart aches but I’m equally so proud and excited for my girls. You know you’ve done a great job if they can go and be their independent self. I will be watching closely this school year. I’ll definitely have some more time on my hands.
