I was just gifted the Legends 1 set, which is a fantastic set of classic characters. I went to Barnes and Noble and the Shakespeare set immediately stood out to me ❤ I love Macbeth
I played and loved Star Wars: Epic Duels. My friends and I even made our own characters for the system. It had some major flaws, and over the years I tried coming up with fixes for them - how I would do it better. When Unmatched came out, I was blown away with how well every change they made was - not just better than anything I had thought of - but possibly as well chosen as possible. Like, I’m sure in 80 years there will be even better designs, but this game is perfect for me. I know that some people take it very seriously and min-max every nuance of the game. I’m glad it can handle that level of scrutiny. But for me, I love taking it seriously, but casually. My favorite experience was having a roommate that I would play exactly one game of Unmatched with every day. We’d randomize our characters and the map, and see what happened.
Unmatched Cobble and Fog is pretty great. Also Warhammer Underworlds is worth a look for fun little skirmish games that you can do a some mild deck construction in.
Houdini vs The Genie is a lot of fun and Battle of Legends 2 has some powerful heroes that are fun to play as well. I started with Cobble and Fog and I hated Unmatched. Luckily, I tried different characters.

Glad to see you onboard with Unmatched! It is an incredibly satisfying experience that only gets better as you continue to mix and match sets.
I need to.
If you enjoy Unmatched, I'd recommend Disney Sorcerer's Arena - not too complicated, but good strategy
I need to check it out.

Yeah, I've heard great things about Underworlds.
Unmatched is fun to play with wargmers, gamers into heavy games, 16 year olds, eurogamers. That can not be Said of a LOT of games
Yeah, I'm a euro gamer primarily and i loved it.

I've gotta try some more.
Welcome to the unmatched siblinghood, Ben. Maybe one day we'll have a game. And yea, R&G are dead is massively overrated
At least someone agrees with me!
