Great video and explanation from the lens of tensegrity. Another way of looking at what many “traditional” movement and medicine practices have been teaching for millennia. E.g. Traditional Chinese Medicine, AYUSH, various soft style Qi and other Gong lineages.

You can make this same polyhedron structure by adding holes to the strut centers. All the ends are then tied more directly to the strut center below. This tension design will then allow for the struts to be replaced by two dimensional units (flat plates).
