Version 5.1.9 comes with the piv file so you can see how it was done. The ball is made from bent lines and polyfill. It's the same figure in all the frames, but bent more on opposite sides. This means that inbetweening can still be used.
There actually was a problem while I used Pivot 5. For some reason, it didn't let me to save or export my animation after I've animated it, by that, I mean that it didn't show up that name ( and file ) selection bar, and when I tried to replace another file ( which was a gif ), and instead of letting me to export, from what I remember, it said that I've been missing a .dll file memory. Had to restart the program without saving to make it work again.
Do you plan on adding a smart stretch function? As in, you stretch a figure like a sword and all of the figure stretches, rather than just that specific articulation
Can you add two nodes attached to the sides in pivot animation? (The lines can be connected from one side and this reduces the character quality a lot).
Sorry I don't understand. Are you talking about when adding new line segments when building figures? Can you explain a bit more what you mean? Note that you can always add invisible connecting lines by setting their thickness to 0, which enables you to add lines in positions that you wouldn't be able to otherwise. I'm not sure if that helps.

There are 2 ways to do the ellipse. In this video I made a circle from 4 lines each bent by 90 degrees and then filled it with a polygon. You can then bend it into an ellipse. The easier way is to use the text tool. Write a full stop and add it to the animation. This appears as a circle but can be stretched using the Ctrl key.
please make compatibility with pivot 4, i want to copy all my animations i made in pivot 4 (200+) and put them into pivot 5. and please make it so you can copy sticks from another pivot version and paste into new version
All your Pivot 4 files will open in Pivot 5. You can't copy and paste between versions but you don't need to. Just open your Pivot 4 files in Pivot 5 and copy from there.
Hello, There's a strange glitch that happens randomly whenever i animate, or just make one frame. The whole screen freezes and turns to white, and after that the icons of "Play, Pause, and Loop", as well the icons from stuff like Delete,Edit etc. Are gone. I'll have to re-open Pivot in order to fix it back, but sometimes it also turns the backgrounds into blank, which gives me a pain to replace when i have over 1000+ frames. Could you please fix this?
Which version do you have? It may be fixed in 5.1.8, which will be released soon. It may also be the version of Windows or graphics card you're using. See the system requirements on the download page. If it happens again then make sure you don't overwrite the animation file. If you need to set the background in many frames then you can do it quickly using multi-frame selection.
@@peterboneg I think i got the oldest version of V5, which i assume its 5.1.0 Since i've got it right after it got released. I don't have any problems with the System Requirements, i've got 8 GB RAM and a AMD Ryzen 3 processor, alongside a Radeon RX550/500 graphics card. It doesn't happen often though, it's quite rare, but it can be troublesome sometimes when i have to replace the background. I'll use the multi-frame selection, Thank you.Pivot has been my childhood for some years now, and i'm glad it still gets updated and fixed. I'll be looking forward to the incoming updates!

I've honestly never used it. I know very little about it other than it being inspired by Pivot and it running on mobile devices. I'm aware of some of its features from people telling me. On the one hand it seems quite powerful and on the other hand maybe a little harder to use than Pivot, but without having used it myself I really don't know.

I disagree! Give it another try man. There was a whole community of teenagers doing it 15 years ago. Most amazing intuitive piece of software I've ever come across. Really opened my eyes to art, visual animation, computer rendering, file formats etc...it was so beginner friendly but also offered a level of depth and knowledge. I remember "Flash" animator just being way too difficult for me to process.

The fact that you can create realistic motion with 3 key frames, tweening, and auto easing is literally the coolest fricken thing.
