Well technically you were their subjects, as in subjugated under them. That's what being his majesty's subject means. Not that that's as literal as it was once upon a time, but it's still a fact that the Crown is the only sovereign in the kingdom. Whereas the Irish for example in Ireland are each sovereign because there are no Monarch or hereditary titles of any kind recognised in Ireland. Your King Charles becomes just Charles on Irish soil, one sovereign equal to each and every Irish person in Ireland. Whereas he's the only sovereign in his own Kingdom because the Crown holds the sovereignty of the subjugated. Monarchism is an interesting antiquated system when you look into how it functions.
Technically though I heard a passport is the property of King Charles or something so he could in theory ask for it back or confiscate anyone’s passport if he chose to.

Drone assist is not a CAA app nor is it supported by them ! , No, you cannot fly a drone over Hampton Palace or other built-up areas in London without express permission from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Flying a drone over royal palaces is restricted because of the nature of the site.
erm, no , thats not always the case, bylaws in certain areas can prohibit it, for example, in Leeds there are bylaws in place that say in the parks in leeds owned by the council model aircraft and drones must not take off and be flown (grey area, take off from the path outside the park :) ) However they designate a particular path in leeds where this is possible (Middleton park) as there is a model aircraft club there with a massive area for flight, these are OLD bylaws, and are rarely enforced, but they are enough to make people think twice, that said, there is a huge amount of drone footage in leeds parks :) Bylaws also exist in certain areas of london as these people state for reasons of national security.

Perhaps they forgot to apply for a temporary NFZ. But I don’t know if the Crown Estate Act or the Parks Regulation Act gives them additional powers to regulate commercial filming. The manager was alluding to that rather than drone regs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Crown has certain powers they can use to restrict filming that only apply to them (the Crown Estate Act points to the Park Regulation Act, but I got lost in the detail, so I don’t know.)

The airspace is not governed by the Palace, it's governed by the CAA.
I think she was implying that commercial filming was what he couldn’t do. She may well be right about that. There’s various legislation, giving the Crown Estate various powers. I don’t know the details of what applies but there’s possibly By-Laws, the Parks Regulation Act and the Crown Estate Act to consider for a start. Probably naive to assume all the normal rules apply without consulting a lawyer.
Perhaps, but what needs to be checked is the superior rank of each law, which will prevail.

Hey DJE I love your work. I was intrigued with it being crown land. So I did a quick AI search and this answer was given... Crown property, specifically, permission is required from the Crown Estate or relevant landowners before flying drones over their land.
I'm not sure if you're right on this one. I'm going to watch part 2 when I get a min!

Obviously mini drones weren’t a thing when that legislation was written, but possibly the right to restrict commercial filming is a real thing over the Crown Estate.
