Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work and very informative! This is one of the best Singapore birding videos I have come across yet.
Thank you, glad it was useful. I couldn’t find a video that showed some of the birding spots, so made one myself!
Wow. Singapore is on my list of top birding destinations.
Go there! It is awesome
Excellent video with details. Differences between egrets were explained beautifully. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Glad you liked it!
Wow. You managed see some fantastic birds and get great shots/videos. It's lovely to see some amazingly different birds that are not too far away. Thanks
Thank you. Was so good seeing birds very different to what I get back home in Sydney
Excellent bird observation footage in Singapore. But you missed the opportunity to see the Buffy Fish Owl while visiting Hampstead Wetlands Park.
Thank you, we went there tried to see it but had to settle for the Hornbill instead, saw the owl at Sungei so not too disappointed
@@RogerMacKertich Glad you saw it at a different place.
Really great shots. Thank you! 👍😃
Thanks ☺️
What a wonderful video. Loved the whole journey. Brilliantly compiled and the photos are amazing. Thanks for putting this together.
Thank you taking the time to comment. It was a lot of fun to photograph, film and edit together!
Thank you. I am going to Singapore this fall and am packing a lot of wildlife viewing in!
Have an amazing time. There is lots of wildlife to see
This video is so useful! Thank you so much! Im in Singapore for the next two weeks. Heading out with my binoculars, with your video and ebird as my guide.
Thank you! Fantastic, that is the exact reason I make my videos, so people can get an idea of what they might see in each destination. Have an amazing time.
Absolutely brilliant video. Thank you. We will be in Singapore in two weeks time! First visit so this was super-helpful. Thank you also for the foodie tips, my other great passion.
Glad it was helpful. Thank you. Have an amazing trip, there is some great wildlife out there
Nice work - especially enjoyed the strange (to me) calling Tit-babbler, the sturdy and beautiful Stork-billed K/F, and both Owls, each seeming to demand the respect due their position. Thank you!!
Thank you! It was such an amazing place to visit.
Great video and brilliant photos. I was looking at returning to Singapore for a holiday/birding trip in February . All your locations were the ones I was looking at so you have been very helpful. Many thanks
Thank you, just the type viewer I make these videos for! Someone looking to travel to the area and get an idea of what they might see! Have an amazing trip.
How beautiful Roger, I might just book a ticket.
It is so worth going!
What a great video! So entertaining ❤🎉
You did find a lot of birds
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you.
Wonderful photography
Many thanks!
Excellent
Thank you for watching
Amazing species observed! Lovely video!
Thank you, we definitely saw some amazing birds
I'm quite fascinated with Singapore! After watching your video, I have put it on my list to visit (probably on next year's list I think). So many birds I've never seen before!! Great video with some great tips on which parks to visit which is really helpful for us. Thanks!! ~ Karen
That is one of the best things about going birding in a new country, nearly every bird is new. Singapore is wonderful not just for the wild life but the food, and attractions are excellent too. Just be prepared for the humidity!
@@RogerMacKertich ah yes... the humidity! Not a fan of that! Five days is probably a good amount of time 😀
@@naturephotographychallenge yes that is how long we were there. One key thing to remember with the humidity is make sure your camera gear is acclimated each morning if left in the Aircon overnight. You could get up to an hour of foggy lenses if not careful! Had same problem up in Cape York.
@@RogerMacKertich thanks for the tip! I wouldn't have thought of that! 😊 That would be really annoying!!
Wow, you got the owls on the east and west of Singapore. Beautiful shots and great video!!!
Thank you so much, I watched so many of your vids for inspiration on where to go!
@@RogerMacKertich Great to know my videos helped a little. Cheers!!!
Great video what kit did you use please photos really good.
Thank you. Nikon Z9 with 400mm 2.8. Also used iPhone for wider shots
Thanks for the video. Am travelling via Singapore and have some ideas where to go birding.
Awesome. All are good spots
Were the birds introduced? Singapore is a long way for some of the species to arrive?
There are a couple that are introduced in the video, most are native to south east asia.
It's a very nice Birds video recorded. But at time 3:20, the intermediate Egret has a pair of yellow legs. It looked more like Pacific Reef-Heron (white pattern)
Ooh ok good pick up thanks. Too late to change it now. I always struggle with the egrets and herons
Nice capture and great video! I am travelling to Singapore next weekend and plan to see the birds too. Did you hired any local guide?
Fantastic. Look up www.birdingsg.com we used him for a day and he was great. Have amazing trip!
😊 Fantastic work ❤❤❤😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
Wow beautiful videos, you saw so many unique species! Just wondering what kind of setup you use to be able to film so steadily?
Thank you. I use a Nikon z9 which has really great image stabilisation.
@@RogerMacKertich wow not even a tripod or monopod? I might have to invest your videos look incredible!
@@Deidaraness Not support needed, the image stabilisation in modern cameras and lenses is amazing.
How do you even distinguish which of these birds are which 😅 there’s so many species! Great work 👌
Thank you. Once you have studied and photographed enough of them you start to learn them all. Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video Roger. Were you able to visit all the different sites via public transport or did you hire a car?
You can get to most sites via public transport, we had very limited time though so just caught Grab (Uber) everywhere.
Beautiful video. 👍 May i know the title of the last music used?
Fantastic! I may be making a trip to Melbourne in the near future. What are some good birds hotspots in and around the city? Thanks for any advice. Oops, just realised your home city is Sydney, not Melbourne 😂
Haha no problem. See if you can get to Werribee treatment plant. You may need a key (do a google search)
@@RogerMacKertichThanks to your great tip, I engaged a guide and had a great time at Werribee :)
Interested to know how you travel to the sites, Taxi?
The quickest way is Uber ( or the Singapore equivalent)
Thanks
U didnt film open bill stork new comer.
I don’t think one was there, did you see one in the video?
$16 Matcha is a rip-off. There are much better Hainanese Chicken Rice too.
I love that you watched my bird video and made comments on the food. Matcha was amazing but I agree better chicken rice about.
@@RogerMacKertich There is a pair of mated Buffy Fish Owls incubating eggs in Hampstead Wetlands now so if you are in the area, do drop by!
Woah amazing, unfortunately I’m back home in Sydney now !
