The scribing method was a great idea. I would also fill the gaps you cut with a bit of wood and secured in place with wood glue for extra strength. Very nice build. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
Thank you, it worked out great and I have done this same thing with my new enclosed trailer too. I have never been to Jamaica, but it looks gorgeous in pictures.
I've been planning the layout of my trailer (like yours) and had been stalled on what to do in "the nose" of the trailer. Great idea! I'm going to copy what you did with a little twist; when I relieve the 2x2 to form to the nose I'm going to have the notches facing out so they close rather than spread. Great video! Thank you.
2 - 2x4x8' ripped in half, 2 - 1x12x8', 1 - 1x4x8'. Self drilling screws of whatever length you need probably 2 1/2" and 3" torque screws for the frame.

The best video on making a trailer shelf. You didn't carry on rambling about nothing lol you were to the point and did a excellent job!
That was a genius way of finding the curve of the trailer! And to think I was going to make a cardboard template. Thanks! I subbed.

Nice tips. Thanks!
good video! guves me a better idea for my trailer
What kind of screws did you use to secure the the frame to the wall?
Self drilling 1 1/2"
You did not show how to install the first piece or what kind of screws to use.
I used 2 1/2" x 1/4" self drilling screws into the metal wall studs, but it may be different depending on the construction of your trailer.
@@HandyGuy2016 Thanks do they have to be special screws for going into metal?
@@JnrInd just self drilling metal screws.
Do you have a material list?
