Marineford was 58 episodes long but in one pace it’s 17 episodes long. It really makes a difference. It’s exactly like the manga.
Rereading it you can appreciate so much that was put into it for down the line, seeing things connect, remembering things you’ve forgotten or seeing things you overlooked. Just getting to relive the amazing character moments make it all worth it.

That middle part is why I struggle through the majority of the show. I’ve been stuck on fish man island for like 7 years, I started watching it again this week and I was enjoying it but then it had so much filler meaningless dialogue that you see in every arc it became impossible for me not to skip through. Does anyone else have this issue? Because I love old one piece, I think up until the ending of alabasta it’s amazing, but then it falls off so incredibly hard and it takes forever to get good again. Chopper and Franky’s introductions were great, and I was recently reminded that Enies Lobby was actually such an important story for Robin but man apart from that it’s not until marineford that it gets good again? That’s so many episodes and like I’m saying I’m struggling through fish man island rn, I skip through most episodes.

For sure. I frequently rewatch jus Alabasta, Enies Lobby, Whole Cake Island and Dressrosa because those are my 4 favorite arcs of all time. I'll watch JUST them, then go back to whatever else I was watching that isn't One Piece.
