Before this, I don’t even know if they ever talked, but Becky did everything she could to stop this girl’s hurting and it ended up being her own brother, but she did what was right. Degrassi will always be an incredible show and even in the later seasons, it continued to be just as ground-breaking. So glad I was around when this aired.
The scene where everyone was standing on the steps watching him get put into the police car was just perfect! Omg the background song just made it even better!! Bravo!

That was perfect. My favorite parts in that scene was: the guys ganging up on Luke, five characters comforting Zoe, Zoe hugging Becky and Dallas picking up Drew. That was a great scene. Luke deserves to be arrested. All he ever does is harm people and doesn't show remorse.
This. This right here is why Becky is one of my favorite characters. She grew so much over the course of only 1-2 seasons. She came from an ignorant household, but she was willing to listen and learn when she realized the perspective she carried (her anti-LGBTQ+ stance) could be hurting people, which is more than you can say for her parents and unfortunately many people IRL. She actually pretty much always had kind intentions, even if at the beginning she was INCREDIBLY misinformed. And now here, she does what she knows is right, even if it means turning in her own brother. She knew that she was putting her relationship with her family at stake, but she knew that there were no excuses for what Luke did; Zoe didn't deserve to have that happen to her. No one does.
If I was there Brianna I would done everything to stick up for u because no person deserve to be sexually assaulted no matter how mean or bad that person like no matter what like I would not allowed a sexual assault go unpunished like u would never be alone because u got me, my girlfriend, my 2 brothers, and one of my best friends like we would make sure that we would sit with u during lunch and make sure nobody bothers u like u got people who care about u

Everyone here is talking about Miles about Miles and how he stepped in to protect Becky and Zoe. But honestly I was more impacted when I saw Dallas rushing in. He had literally just talked about how a team needs to work together despite the allegations going on, and here as soon as it was revealed, he immediately took action.
What bothers me is Zoe never learned from this, She got becky back by setting her up so she breaks her leg, and she started degrassi nudes and peer pressured the other girls in her squad to take part and threatened them with black mail if they didn't follow suit.

I think part of why Zoe was so adamant about degrassi nudes is because she was a victim of SA and in her warrior woman mode... taking her power back by literally making men pay ($) for the way they tend to sexualize and violate women. It was just the way I interpreted it at the time of watching. I may need to re-watch that episode. Otherwise, I agree... it took me a while to warm up to Zoe's character because of her frequent mean, immature, and vindictive ways. I could never see Zoe as a genuinely good person tbh.

Where she was bigoted, she was ignorant and when she learned more, she adjusted her stances accordingly to be more in line with what she believed Jesus would do. Im not Christian but thats all you can ask from a Christian.
I miss Degrassi during around this season. Honestly these were some of the best seasons. Don't get me wrong, I love the Next Class seasons. But I truly miss the end few seasons of Next Generation. Everything was so well done. We need another powerful storyline. Not to be cruel but they've keep a lot of characters alive in Next Class when they could've died and it would've created something interesting for Degrassi to deal with. Like Tristan with the bus. Or Zig down the hill. Or even Maya. Like they're all such big characters it would've been such a good storyline. As where in NG, they would've done it and created an interesting storyline. Not that I don't love the NC story lines. But I feel as if it's just missing a little something.
Man Maya was really nice to Zoe after she got assaulted and Zoe still hopped on Zig and ruined the relationship (zig is equally responsible but she still initiated it), girl didn't even say sorry.

Crazy thing is when I first saw this episode I was a kid, now I'm in high school and the same thing happened at my school.
