@@Dark-ey2qu You’re comparing apples to organges. There are millions of Pokemon collectors and plenty of rich ones. I owned a population 1 PSA 10 Pokemon card that I sold for $700 - simply being the only one does not make something valuable. On the other hand only a few thousand people collect these bills and there are many varieties of low population currencies like this. Lower demand than Pokemon and higher relative supply. The expert knows what he’s talking about.
This guy is smart. If he shoots the price of this one through the roof and he owns the other just as rare then he can sell it higher and have a reference price.
The customer was right, the "Expert" had no clue as to the value of these notes. In fact, one of the $10 Texas notes, in excellent condition, such as the customer's, sold at auction for over $37,000!!! That was in September of 2009!
Lmao you think the customer was right??? The expert was much closer to the real value than this clown of a customer who thought it was worth 650k. Also, just because one sold for that much in ‘09 doesn’t mean it’ll go for that now. Markets change significantly and they’re really unpredictable
@@kidyubyub Wtf are you talking about he did not contradict himself. A collector will have to contact Mr Bogus, the seller, in prison, or wait till he does his 20 for Fraud.
@@guitarsrcool4922 it’s on sell on EBay right now for $1800.
I’m not disagreeing with his evaluation, but he shouldn’t have asked the man what he personally ask the pawnshop for. He should’ve come in without that information and give him his professional opinion
The seller's name is (no joke) Brett Bogus. In 2015 he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for 1st degree felony theft. It was apparently his third felony.
Those that determine to be wealthy plays the money game to win while the poor people plays the money game to lose.

So he turned down an offer of 650K so he could go to the pawn shop and ask for 650K? Sure that makes a lot of sense.
It could be something like: someone says yeah I'll give you $650k, seller says I'll think about it. One week later, seller calls buyer, ok I'll take it. Buyer says now I'm not sure. No deal is made. Now the seller has it in his head that his bill is worth $650k. With one of a kind items, the prices can vary a lot. Sort of like a one of a kind painting. Perceived values can vary wildly.
Everything is worthless unless you have a buyer with cash in hand. Never ceases to amaze me how people think their belongings are priceless whole yours ( of the same exact object) is worthless!!
Supply and demand 101 - One of a kind item that nobody wants it.
I don't know why you'd try to sell valuable stuff to a business that profits in resale.
@@MinecraftMartin Fame?
@@MinecraftMartin there's 3 kinds of people who are featured on the customer side of the counter on Pawn Stars: those who will take any offer cuz they don't know or care that much about their stuff, those who know the actual selling point and work to negotiate it, and those who have no intention of selling their stuff, they just want to get free advertising from their stuff being on the show (in the hope of stirring up interest and inflating the price). Guess which one the guy in this clip is? 🤣
@@drewt1717 Yeah, sounds about right.
They have a buddy for everything
To be as successful as they6 are, you kinda do need a buddy for everything. Lol
It’s the biggest pawn shop on the face of the earth. If you’re a multi-million dollar entity, you’d better have a ton of experts at your disposal.
Rick: "no hard feelings!"
Customer: "no hard feelings.."
Also custmomer : "Certainly he doesn't know enough" LOL
He's obviously talking about the expert not Rick. Rick didn't give him a number the expert did.
You know the seller has hard feelings when he says that the expert has no clue what he's talking about.
Appraiser sounds like my boss when I'm trying to get a raise..
Over the moon , Over the planets , Over the stars.
Owner of the Notes: I want 650k
Rick: Best I can do is handshake 🤝 🤣🤣
It's amazing that these bills are unfolded and in such great shape!
This was probably the most interesting and suspenseful Pawn Stars clips I can remember.
The expert was so savage😂😂
Gave a complete downer to the seller😂😂😂
Honestly the expert didn't even need to spit out a number to counter that $650,000. Shoulda let that be.
The expert has a small one.
1:04 The Comanches were newcomers to the Texas area who only became a force to be reckoned with after they acquired horses and mastered horse warfare. Native tribes such as the Caddo were in the lands that make up Texas much longer.
“You’re over the moon, the planets, the stars!” Haha RIP wow that was sinister
If this note is actually the only one in the world with that high uncirculated grade , In the right auction with very rich people maybe it will bring crazy money
But who is willing to bet a “maybe” on 650k lol
@@solcohen9042 If what was said is true (I have my doubts lol) I wouldn't be surprised. I mean a PSA 10 1st edition base set (english) Charizard holo (Pokemon card) is 200k USD at the low end now-a-days and there is atleast 120 psa graded 1st edition base set psa 10 charizards with more and more being graded. Ofcourse this item is alot more niche than pokemon but in the right eyes ofcourse it could be worth such ridiculous amounts.
Thats what appraiser said.... it will take hit and miss to sell it for crazy money....
@@Dark-ey2qu You’re comparing apples to organges. Pokemon is the most well known/valuable video game franchise of all time ($100B+) and that card is the single most iconic and widely available high-end card on the market.
I just saw in CNN, one of these arts with $100 reserve sold for $6.5 million. So anything is possible
This guy is smart. If he shoots the price of this one through the roof and he owns the other just as rare then he can sell it higher and have a reference price.
Unfortunately for him, they’re being sold on EBay for less than $2000 😂
Oh my sweet god, as a Texan seeing those, those are absolutely beautiful. I’d buy those in a heartbeat. Long live the lone star.

Nice. Guy was so smug.
FYI One graded 63 (1 point under this) sold at auction in Jan of 2021 for $3k
The oldest saying that collectors (and even myself) uses: “Just because it’s rare, doesn’t mean it’s worth a lot of money”
Everyone that doesn’t get their way on pawn stars always says that the staff and experts don’t know what they’re talking about.
Having a rare unique item doesn’t mean you can set the price you want BUT if you found the right collector then he/she will agree to your offer.
The customer was right, the "Expert" had no clue as to the value of these notes. In fact, one of the $10 Texas notes, in excellent condition, such as the customer's, sold at auction for over $37,000!!! That was in September of 2009!
IKR
Lmao you think the customer was right??? The expert was much closer to the real value than this clown of a customer who thought it was worth 650k. Also, just because one sold for that much in ‘09 doesn’t mean it’ll go for that now. Markets change significantly and they’re really unpredictable
Exactly
@@sundstrom193 Your statement takes down your own argument. Funny.
@@kidyubyub Wtf are you talking about he did not contradict himself. The seller was trying to pull a scam selling it for $650K, it won't be the last time in human history someone has tried to scam someone else. $37K isn't comparable to $650K beyond the fact that they are both numbers that exist. $650K is more than 17 times $37K, which is an outrageous markup that is complete nonsense.

This guy that brought these in is acting as if he is an expert, but he clearly doesn't follow the market. The most expensive currency bills EVER to sell are rare and early ones issued by the Federal Reserve, such as the Grand Watermelon note.
