Have danced to BAO at Sofiero castle outside Helsingborg ten years ago! Slow bugg and ”kasedans” slowfox to this! Great orchestra with soo talented musicians and of course Benny on accordion/piano and Tommy’s and Helen’s excellent voices! Love everything Benny makes! ❤️🔥
If you didn't know: Benny Andersson (who writes most of the music) and Björn Ulvaeus (who write most of the texts) are the two B's in ABBA, might explain why they have quite some pull.
Vill se/höra: Agnetha Fältskog - Tack för en underbar vanlig dag One More Time - Den vilda Gemini - Mio min Mio Arja Saijonmaa - Högt över havet Roger Pontare - När vindarna viskar mitt namn Tack!
Some classics I would like to hear/see your reactions to: 1. Europe - The Final Countdown, 2. Mauro Scocco - Sarah, 3. Herreys - Gyllene skor, 4. Magnus Uggla - Joey Killer and/or Fula gubbar, 5. Jakob Hellman - Vara vänner, 6. Owe Thörnqvist - Dagny. Oh, have you reacted to Lill-Babs's "Är du kär i mig ännu, Klas-Göran" yet? Unless you already have you as an American have to do that. :) Some of this artists have got reactions from you on other songs, but I really think you should react to these as well. They are true classics, in my opinion.
Hey man! Here are some that you would love and keep listen to from the first time you hear Them. -Hoffmaestro - highway man -peter, Björn och John - young folks -teddybears - cobrastyle English lyrics so you van hear it all and just get hooked!!! 🥊💪
Good song. Not sure if it qualifies to have become a Swedish classic yet/already? A song that new as 2011 must have an “instant classic factor/feel” to it to become a Swedish Classic - I.M.O.
Completely missed this song, how strange! Anyway. Next one is a real classic, not a joke song but classic dansband from the 60s. Btw, considering your podcasts... I use Acast and they only have the first episode of Teach me Sweden. Do you have a clue why?
Benny and Björn wrote the musicals Chess (you reacted to Tommy Körberg - Anthem) and Kristina från Duvemåla (you reacted to Helen Sjöholm - Du måste finnas and Peter Jöback - Guldet blev till sand). Helen and Tommy were both in Chess på svenska so they've been working with Benny before (and well, Helens breakthrough were with Kristina) so I don't think it's a mystery they cooperate. And I feel like it's time you see and hear Helen and Tommy together now! I would recommend "Du och jag" from Chess :) It's incredible.. ua-cam.com/video/mea1HxG62Sk/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MonaAndresen
Maybe time for another song from "Kristina från Duvemåla". You did "Guldet blev till sand" already. Now to get some more Helen Sjöholm I suggest "Du måste finnas", if you haven't already heard that. Or "Ljusa kvällar om våren", which has soo much of the Swedish "vemod" and the sound of Swedish folk music.
I think he did that on some radio show, it would be really nice to have a link to the show where he did it though, because it's probably damn near impossible to find just browsing.
He said he would do a reaction to the live performance of the song, on tuesday night hang. but that was like 2 months ago now so i think he's forgotten :p
I think you have started the reactions in a peculiar end here. Perhaps you should, now at least, start with som classic ABBA reactions before you do all of ABBA’s later spin-off-projects. There are loads of ABBA 70’s hits that never made it big in the US but are super classics here in Sweden! I suggest to begin with: - ABBA - When I kissed the teacher (the music video!) - ABBA - The name of the game - ABBA - Take a chance on me - ABBA - Knowing me, knowing you - ABBA - People need love - ABBA - Ring ring
Something completely different: you should react to (or just enjoy) Prominent "She"! Didn't chart at all unfortunately, but it is a fantastic r'n'b/hiphop-song from 2003. One of my absolute favourites!

This song is very ABBA-like. At least in my book!
He even was a member of the biggest pop-group in the sixties
Benny Andersson even was a member of the group "Hep Stars" in the sixties.

Han körde Hit me with your lovething för några dagar sedan men den måste ha blivit borttagen.

One More Time - Den vilda
Gemini - Mio min Mio
Arja Saijonmaa - Högt över havet
Roger Pontare - När vindarna viskar mitt namn
Tack!
Most of BAO's songs have been written by B&B. This one could have been an Abba's hit, for sure!!!
Some classics I would like to hear/see your reactions to: 1. Europe - The Final Countdown, 2. Mauro Scocco - Sarah, 3. Herreys - Gyllene skor, 4. Magnus Uggla - Joey Killer and/or Fula gubbar, 5.
- Macken
- Under en filt i Madrid
- Pappa jag vill ha en Italienare
The truck driving song
- Grisen i säcken
Hey man! Here are some that you would love and keep listen to from the first time you hear Them.
-Hoffmaestro - highway man
-peter, Björn och John - young folks
-teddybears - cobrastyle
English lyrics so you van hear it all and just get hooked!!! 🥊💪
Never heard this song before.
Nice song
Mio min Mio ( Gemini )
6:54 this part until the end has a very ABBA sound.
Hela låten påminner ju väldigt mycket om ”When all is said and done”
Fröken Fräken is not a joke song. It's dansband
Josefine Nilsson!
Kanske kan föreslå en låt också? :)
Troll - Jimmy Dean ua-cam.com/video/SFd85c8VZ88/v-deo.html
Tommy Nilsson - En Dag ua-cam.com/video/3cdo9BWf5lI/v-deo.html
"Hogfarm" med Pugh Rogefeldt. Är en klassiker. Ola Magnell "Påtalåten" är en annan klassiker.
Good song. Not sure if it qualifies to have become a Swedish classic yet/already? A song that new as 2011 must have an “instant classic factor/feel” to it to become a Swedish Classic - I.M.O.
What happend with the Lousie hoffsten reaction?
I did it and it was blocked initially. I think it's up now though. Gotta love record labels.
Aldrig hört, vill aldrig höra igen. Inte direkt någon klassiker.
Blacknuss - Dinah. Definitely a baaanger!
Sir, you have great taste👍
Tack 🙏 så mycket ❤️❤️❤️💓💖💖🧡❤️🩹😘💖
Bugg would probably be the dance for this song. Something to try perhaps?
oooh great idea!
Daniel Lemma - If I used to love you
Eskobar - someone new
Cue - Burnin
Ainbusk singers - älska mig
Cue- Burnin +1
Completely missed this song, how strange!
Anyway.
Next one is a real classic, not a joke song but classic dansband from the 60s.

@@pon1 Morgonpasset i P3. Mejla dem.
@@Huxteble Kan försöka med det.

Listen to two great voices - Svante Thuresson and Peter LeMarc, Lita aldrig på en man.
Ett Progressivt dansband. It sounds good.
I think you dance two together to this song (and other dansband music).
Time for a new Benny Andersssons Orkester (BAO) song, with both Helen Sjöholm and Tommy Körberg? "Nu Mår Jag Mycket Bättre" or "Det är vi ändå".
Awa manneh - behind schedule...rnb hit from 2002

Tommy and Helen are great voices!!
Swedish classic 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Jonathan, you’re in Sweden now.
That means you need to learn how to bugga.
Öris- i brist på bättre ord
Or anything from Roffe Ruff
Play it, man!
Lotta Engberg - Världens bästa servitris!
Something completely different: you should react to (or just enjoy) Prominent "She"! Didn't chart at all unfortunately, but it is a fantastic r'n'b/hiphop-song from 2003. One of my absolute favourites!
Cool song. Weird that it didn't chart. I find it hard to find any information about them online. Not even a Wikipedia page.
Mera BAO😀
👍👌❤👌👍
Dansbandsgung!!
I couldn’t here Tommy🤔
Classic? Released in 2011. Seriously, man!
You must really be swedish! For me this is a nice, but quite boring mainstream song.
I think I'm turning Swedish, actually
