- CHANDLER, Arizona - Over 2,500 pages of information - primarily emails - released from Arizona investigators share new details into the investigation of Chad and Lori Daybell.
The couple was indicted by a Fremont County grand jury in May on charges including first-degree murder for Tammy Daybell, Chad’s previous wife, and Lori’s two kids, 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. The couple is also facing charges concerning the destruction, alteration and concealment of the children’s bodies.
In Arizona, Lori is facing a felony conspiracy to commit a murder charge in connection to the death of her husband, Charles Vallow. Lori’s now dead brother, Alex Cox, shot and killed Charles in July 2019. Cox called the shooting self-defense, but investigators say evidence tells a different story.
Chad has pleaded not guilty to all his charges and is scheduled for a jury trial in November. Lori’s case is on pause after a judge committed her to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare as a mental health professional deemed her incompetent for trial.
Since the shooting and killing of Charles Vallow, Lori’s fourth husband, Arizona authorities sent and received thousands of emails as the investigation unfolded in multiple states. The Chandler Police Department released documents following records requests submitted by media organizations over the past 18 months.

it doesn't have to do with her mental state at the time of the crimes though. it has to do with her capability to understand the charges and help her lawyers. it's not an insanity plea.

Checking and widely diversifying sources is an effective digital literacy tool-it's not difficult, monolithic, nor a conspiracy. Intellectually lazy people have, at most, 3 self-validating sources from which they receive all.
Ok, first of all Chandler police dropped the ball and let a killer get away. So many red flags when they were there and they just said ok have a nice day. Since when does a man gets shot and no investigation is done? Chandler police needs investigated they are trying to act like heros here. If Chandler police would have done there job there is a very good chance those kids would still be alive . Just my 2 cents!

I used to think so. But watch Chris Mcdonough on The Interview Room channel. Chandler PD has been working with ID and the fbi all along. Sounds like they had lots of info pertaining to both cases, and now can pretty much make sure they both face justice.
I agree with you 100% on the shoddy investigation . They acted like this was the first shooting to have happened in Chandler . Flirting with Lori , treating Alex like he was the victim . Officials that were there at the crime scene and not see that Charles was shot again while dying on the floor . They murder a man in cold blood and still make it home in time for a pool party . I would truly be ashamed if I was part of that investigation

I read some comments saying they didn't understand why Alex wasn't arrested after he killed Charles, I believe they were so believable, that they made the authorities think it was self defense, especially after Tyler talked to them. Hind sights 2020 but if they knew what all was rly happening, im sure they'd locked him up in a heartbeat &maybe the kids wld still be here
Prior to Tylee’s passing Lori took her children to Yellowstone and prior to JJ’s passing she took him to this amusement park. I wonder if she was doing something “fun” with each of them one last time. So disturbing.

Saying Lori was "possessed" is taking all the competency away from Lori's actions and placing them on a metaphorical non-entity. Ultimately, all humans are in control of their own actions. Yes, they can be influenced by their environment, but they can choose to stop doing something before it causes harm. I don't care if someone has a teenager and an autistic child at the same time. There is zero reason to kill them because the situation is "hard" and tiring. Especially when you consider that JJ's grandparents offered to take JJ off of Lori's hands.

Don’t forget- the Alex Cox ties to Colombia were due to the “romance tours” he was known to take there to meet & hook up w/women. It would not be uncommon to see money being wired to Colombia related to these. (That being said, I still think the timing of the one trip right after the shooting of Charles is DEFINiTELY interesting.) It’s like he made a plan B/escape option in case things got hairy.
There was an interview about a year ago with a women from there who had an affair with Alex. She came forward and spilled the beans. He liked Latino women. He’d been to a few of these dating sites

Or, since sexuality and romance are on a spectrum, maybe he was gay in the sense that he was sexually attracted to men but romantically attracted to latina women. Who knows? Human beings are complicated.
If the Chandler PD had been more aggressive in their investigation, those two beautiful children would still be alive. The condition of Charles's body, the position, the crime scene, the behavior of Alex and Lori were extremely unusual. A man attacking with a baseball bat would not cause a small injury to the head, rather it would be devastating, likely causing incapacitation, severe injury or even death. If you watch Lori's interview, it was unbelievably clear she was evasive and being manipulative. Perhaps this is a lack of training on the part of investigators.
That last pic of little JJ breaks my heart, he is in those red pajamas that they found his lifeless body in as they dig him up, so freakin sad.
He had no idea in that pic that that would be last morning of his young life. How humans can be so cruel I will never know, we will never know!
And now we know, he was found in his red pajama through Lori’s trial!!!

I have been following this extremely bizarre and horrific case from the beginning. Not once have I seen it on any Arizona or any other news station on TV. Only through UA-cam! Send info to different news channels and hold these people accountable! It takes an army!

Arizona driver's licenses don't expire for decades so if it wasn't confiscated when she got an Idaho driver's license it would still be valid. One of the craziest things working at a convenience store is encountering an Arizona driver's license, trying to figure out if it is valid because it doesn't expire until the 21-year-old person standing in front of you is 65. They are supposed to update their license picture every twelve years, but I wonder how many people actually do that.

I have researched dozens of similar cases involving these weird LDS groups. It started back with Joseph Smith back in the 1800s. Some notable names are the Lebarons in Mexico and warren Jeffs in their Zion compound in Texas.

That photo of the ammo seals Lori's fate by proving she is the mastermind and was directing Alex. Lori and Chad can't blame it all on Alex when Lori helped him load the gun. That photo is going to be extremely important in court.

Someone that has been deemed incompetent doesn't usually premeditate murder, and use burner phones. She has been misdiagnosed because she is conniving. Her arrogance and evilness got her to where she is, not being incompetent. Part of her defense will be what Charles accused her of, and that was being demented. She isn't. She is just conniving and knew what she was doing.

The only people capable of making that determination is a qualified doctor who has studied for a minimum of 12 years and then been working as a post doc for several more years. For people without all this training to make a diagnosis of Lorie is like you or I making a diagnosis of someone with a brain tumor without training , tools , or experience. It cannot be done. Leave it to specialists.

It doesn't make her less culpable for her actions. If our opinion matters to this case, then they all need to step down. You won't find many who has sympathy for Lori Vallow. Especially not me. Lori and Chad did the same plotting and planning. Together and apart. So does that mean he is incompetent also? What about Alex? They all had the same cultist beliefs and grandiose thought processes.
Does anyone ever remember in a Melanie Gibb interview when she asked Alex about JJ's Whereabouts Alex said "You don't want to know" I am thinking Lori thought Alex was becoming a liability talking too much!!
That seems pretty certain at this point. When she took the stand during Chad's pretrial, Melanie played that phonecall she had with Chad and Lori in which she references Alex telling her that. She outed him.
And Alex died a week later, out of the blue.
Given Lori's track record by that point, that seems like way, way too much of a coincidence to me.

Lori’s room in Chandler was done, at least it looked that way in the pics, but the kids rooms were bare, with just mattresses on the floor. So, yes, they just moved in and may not have a lot, but it’s pretty telling … she thinks of herself first. In her universe, everything is about her

Well I remember reading that the *same day* Lori's sister died, Alex maxed out the dead sister's credit cards ...and Alex was the only one home with Lori's sister when she died.
That sister, btw, was Melani Palowski,'s mother.
That death occurred many years before ANY of this current drama occurred. The implications surrounding the circumstances of the sister's death are chilling.
This may be the first of their serial killings.

To see Lori in court appearances being smug is so telling of her self-belief as a master manipulator. The witness stand isn’t gonna be kind to her as a real reality sets in. She plays the ‘battered woman’ sympathy card like a pro and surrounded herself with others of the same background: Melanie(P)B, Melanie G, all with subservient men that follow and don’t lead. Brandon B saw reality and is lucky Alex didn’t practice with the silencer to understand muzzle velocity loss. That man has a best seller in him called ‘Surviving Crazy’ that needs to be written.
If not for the Woodcocks, Lori and Chad would have gotten by with all these murders. They are the heroes in this story.
