The whole conference offered a sense of realism. Seth being so good at being pissed off and the Triple H/Rock angle were just to build and maybe show what the Rock heel character is gonna be

Ì really like that they are building this face version of The Authority that seems destined to clash with The Rock's Bloodline (yes, I'm already calling it his). The Rock and HHH don't need to get in the ring together, it'll be a proxy war. And EC2024 and WM40 are the opening battles of that war.

I watched Triple H's promo many times over since Friday night now. One thing I loved about this promo, was Adam Pearce's background reactions to Triple H.
This is why I think Aldis will turn and side with Executive Board Member, Rock.

I think Triple H doing his whole "I have the authority. Its Cody v Roman." Is a setup for the Bloodline to remove him, then Rock uses his board connections to put himself in charge.
The thing with the Brody/Briscoe match is that AEW go by the rule that you’re allowed to throw people into or through the ‘environment’. That includes chairs, the steps, announcer/timekeeper’s table and if someone else sets up a new table, then AEW consider it the ‘environment’ for their opponent. They’re pretty consistent with it.
If they don’t think Jade is ready, maybe do Bianca vs. Tiffany at Mania perhaps?

Complaining about the brand split during the tag team match is not logical. It's the qualifier for the Tag Team Championship, which is still unified and cross brands. Heck, the entire premise of the match is that each team represents their given brand. The only other thing to do would be make it a ppv match, but it's the qualifier for the next ppv. That's why they could have a respectful display after the match, cause it's not going to be an immediate feud. That would be like complaining that Sami and Drew are Raw stars when their qualifying for the chamber.
HHH wasn't making it about him, it was the fact the Rock was talking crazy to him, at the end of the day he still is who he is and he wasn't letting that slide lol, that's how I saw it

The bit was that KO is from Raw. And Nick Aldis sent Adam Pearce and Cody Rhodes packing from SD because they weren't Smackdown guys.
So the joke is (I can't believe I'm explaining this) that KO would have been kicked out the building by Aldis
I think they were positioning the authority as the baby faces here. So it’s the bloodline with Roman rock and the family versus the authority with Cody and Rawlins championing them.
Do you guys remember Sami’s path to the nxt championship? Where he kept losing hard fought matches to like cesaro and especially to Neville, but he had to keep picking himself up by the bootstraps and keep fighting to eventually get his crowning moment. I think this may be very similar to that. So yea he may miss out on mania but it could be fuel for a run to the title possibly finally beating drew
I have a feeling Kross is going to cost Lashley the match and that way they can get Bronson in the chamber in Australia.

Wait, did you guys both agree that Bobby Lashley is beating Bronson Reed to make it into the Elimination Chamber? Because I would bet money that isn't happening. It feels absolutely inevitable that Karrion Kross will interfere to cost Lashley the win, furthering that feud and putting the hometown guy into the Australian PLE.
Right Bronson is Australian clearly they’d have him on the show in his home field just as much as Rhea.

But The Face Authority that was there the whole time Vs the Bloodline, that bought it's power and cheated to get it is a good setup for a Post Mania Story
I just don't want it to be Triple H turning on another Face at summer slam, especially not as a Special Guest Referee

I'm kinda glad Brock's not gonna be involved moving forward. As much of a draw he is, I legitimately hate how storylines and creative in general get upended and bent just to cater to Brock
I love the historical tension with Kai, from a very bayley style character in NXT, the big backstab and heel turn.
That everyone is waiting for Kai to turn on her. Very similar to the Sasha Banks Bayley tension

I don't think I can express how much I enjoyed Smackdown short of going ahead and literally just writing my own full review of the show. Which, while fun for me, would be a lot of effort just for myself so I'll spare the comments section.
But there were so many small little details and minor format tweaks. There were even more notable segments too. Dom's solo spot was great. Hell, I think I might even like Logan Paul now? Well no, definitely not, horrible person irl. But I thought he killed his segment and am wondering if he is thinking of transitioning to an actual TV wrestler and not a part timer?
Very much interested and excited for WWE moving forward. The positive changes can already be felt IMO.

Why do I feel they'll pull out all the stops to make world heavyweight championship that much important? Drew winning the elimination chamber, thus booking his date with Seth, Sami pulling a Daniel Bryan and insert himself into that match and at the peak of the moment Priest charging in the ring, cashing in on Seth to pull another Seth! That would be mind-boggling
I so want this to happen, and when Seth loses he shouldn't just play dead in the ring. Imagine...Seth got sethed... Priest is celebrating. Camera pans to the defeated ex champion, he musters all his remaining power to... do his evil laugh. As he is being stretchered out, he should keep smiling. He got what he wanted, the title is important.
I'm not sure I understand how one can accurately predict with any of the available metrics that moving a recorded podcast from Saturday to Monday isn't more work for less benefit than moving the 6 minute Smackdown + Collision review from a Saturday news video to the end of the Monday news video. I figure if ONE of those was going to be attempted first to see how things change, it'd be the quick review on the Monday video, which is a video that you already put out anyway, instead of you guys sitting down for an hour and a half here on top of the regular news video. It's going to be the only podcast review that isn't accompanied by a news review segment, and I think that's only going to hurt things overall.
If they Bianca v Jade (which they should), 100% Jade should win. Bianca is a made star who can easily afford to lose. Plus, this could be the in to a Bianca heel turn.
For mania I’d have Bianca and Jade team up against the kabooki warriors at wrestlemania. Then build to the singles match starting them up as a team.
I think for table and chairs rules, it seems If you hit them with the weapon it's obviously a DQ, but if you do a ligit wrestling move and happen to land through a table or on a chair, that's just bad luck
I’m looking toward a bigger picture of the rock being the overall leader of smackdown. All the heels there give a more Hollywood vibe.
Monday has the workhorses. And I feel that’s where triple h will maintain his spiritual leadership through Seth.
This feud will culminate in a WWE where the brand split actually matters, as there’s defined hatred and cultural differences between the brands. Leading to 2k25-26 being WWE 2k: smackdown vs raw instead.
You could also rope nxt into it, with the new evolution of superstars coming in.

Pretty sure sami will be involved at mania. Triple threat IMO. Seeing his sad demeanor after the match, made me feel there is more to the story.

Balor wins with help from Dom, Judgement Day music hits, Rhea, JD and Priest come down to the ring to celebrate, Priest cashes in on Balor, sets up match at Backlash. Balor gets beaten for months until he creates his own group with Styles and *insert former-NXT members*
Rollins moves into the Undisputed title picture with Rhodes
McIntyre (if he re-signs) and LA Knight begin a programme for next year’s Mania for the Heavyweight title
Zayn should be the one to dethrone Gunther for IC - perfect champ for the people!

Awesome Truth do win the Tag Titles at Mania..... and then on the Raw after Mania we keep getting skits about how R Truth is confused about why he has the Smackdown belts when he's a Raw superstar - and in much funnier way than I can write he ends up essentially relinquishing the Smackdown titles on behalf of himself and the Miz (either on this episode of he turns up on Smackdown and gives them to Aldis) and you've got your titles split....... and Tag Team Title Tournament!!!I

The thing I’m not understanding is why Seth has any involvement in this at all? Cody has the rivalry with Roman, Rocks connection to that through Roman, what does Seth have to do with this story at all other than having a title that he begged Cody to challenge for? It feels incredibly forced and jarring to have him part of it. Luke is absolutely right about this Seth run

I think Bianca and Jade work together at Mania. Either against each other or as a tag team.
Imagine if Sami takes out Drew McIntyre during his entrance for the chamber match (like edge did to Kofi). Taking Drew’s route of being more ruthless by taking his spot in the chamber. Gives Drew more motivation for his character and can build the triple threat.
I want a Dominic win and a title run soooo bad. It would be horrific. Also a power couple thing with Rhea would be crazy

No I’m merely pointing out that choosing to have two worthy contenders in the same qualifying match means, by definition, only one of them can be in the chamber match, which is fine, but I personally would have had Sami AND Orton in the match.

I think we’re getting a Roman and Rock vs Cody and Seth tag match with a Damian cash in on night one that turns into a Damian vs Drew vs Sami match for the WHC belt on night two.
Edit: with Seth pinning Roman Night 1 and Cody pinning Roman Night 2. Seth pinning Roman immediately shows that his belt isn’t the consolation prize.
I don't understand why people think Seth is the secondary champion. Roman can't win anything without help, doesn't defend his title like a credible champion should, has never beaten Seth in a big match, and is now following the Rock around like a jabroni. Seth beats all the people Roman needed help with clean, defends his title more often than any other champion (including Gunther), is out here no-selling a real injury like a madman, is his own man who ain't afraid to cook CM Punk on the stick or get in TKO big shot Rock's face, has 12 dudes vying for his title (and had 3 of the final 4 in the Rumble vying for it too as opposed to 1 for Roman) as opposed to just Cody and 51 year old out-of-his-breath-off-a-promo-segment Rock, and has the better looking belt for my money. How do people think that Seth is secondary?
@@morlun838 preaching to the choir my friend. Seth’s been carrying the world titles ever since he got his back at night of champions. People shit on Seth but don’t realize if Seth and the WHC belt weren’t around that we would have had a grand total of 3 mediocre, predictable world title defenses after last years wrestlemania. It’ll always be Seth > Roman for me and that’ll never change.

I was there at collision (my first live wrestling event!!) and the toni storm vs. queen aminata match was so over with the crowd. I don't watch a lot of aew but toni storm really sold the crowd in her after-match promo with the Henderson/Las Vegas joke. honestly that match alone sold me to watch more of aew's televised stuff
The best way to build a Cargill vs Belair fued, is for Jade to show a feat of strength and pin say a Liv Morgan, only for Bianca to KOD her from behind whilst Jade is distracted with just pinning someone, doesn't make either of them look weak and they can have a face off afterwards
Also Bianca is undefeated in WM so far. Would Jade be the one to break it？

I feel like Sami is getting the gauntlet match treatment to face Gunther for the IC title.
They did the HHH angle to make it seem like the WWE was always in control of the storyline. Wanted to reassure the fans. This is a potential side story if needed. However, don’t be surprised if Rock can somehow sway Nick Aldis in the future.
If you watch any of Eddies matches throughout the years and his storylines the come down to the fact that no one respects even after a match for it. I doubt Danielson would do it since he's an asshole in real life, but it would be nice for Eddie to finally earn another wrestlers respect and them actually mean it.

The way I would book it is Logan Paul beats Miz and then interferes to cost KO his match against Dom. KO responds by murdering Logan Paul, injuring him and taking him out of the chamber (but he's back for Mainia). You do some kind of last chance gauntlet match or battle royale, which Sami wins. Sami wins the chamber and Drew does his whole "its not fair" thing, claims it was a conspiracy between KO and Sami. He attacks both Seth and Sami in the build and because both of them have the same kind of fighting spirit, more guts than brains, babyface energy agree to make it a triple threat so they can both get their hands on Drew.

They need to do something to make Knight vs Styles interesting. Think it happens a lot where they don't find room for 2 high callibre guys and just sort of throw them together (eg Orton and Styles few years back)

My lineup for that chamber match would've been Drew, Randy, AJ, LA, Sami, and Kevin. Star power. Multiple subplots and history among all of them.

how do you know it wasnt the plan. cause all i heard was rumors, the rock forced his way into this match. The Rock is a smart business man and he played all of you. he knew how social media would react to him facing roman after cody won. and hes playing into that in every other scenario we love the rock. but this time he knew we would hate him. he gave you a villain and a spice to this story so its not just copy and paste of last year.

I still think Cody was massively hurt by the booking mistake. People were really into the idea of Cody finishing his story but now I feel it's more about the bloodline feud and not Cody's dream come true. There's was a space for Cody to shine at WrestleMania and now he's got share it, he didn't need that.
If it was me booking it:
Breakker and Corbin win the NXT Tag Titles and appear on both the main roster and NXT alla Ricochet and Aleister Black back in 2019,drop the Titles to Axiom and Frazer at Stand and Deliver,win the tag team exhibition match at Mania Night 2 and squash Awesome Truth in the Raw after Mania

The international championship is an open title and has been, that’s why the rankings for it don’t matter. They very much matter for Joe and Christian who won’t give anyone a shit unless they fight to number 1 contender ship
Gunther should be the one to challenge Seth for the World Title at WrestleMania 40. He's the only guy that would give that title prestige and he can then relinquish the Intercontinental Title without ever getting beat for it.
