I love how Bastille deal with politics and current issues that affect us all in their Songs. Not enough artists do that at the Moment, although art is such a powerful way of getting a message across.

And I must have missed Taylor Swift's Songs about politics, but maybe that's cause she only writes Songs about her ex Lovers and fights with other famous People.

Very excited for the new content! I loved Wild World for that whole escapism/confrontation duality that Dan talked about. I feel like the messages there were universal. Bastille is clearly liberal leaning, and I consider myself conservative, but the ideas behind songs like Warmth and The Currents are still as applicable to my feelings as they are to Dan's and the others'. But I'll be happy to have a new track list that's a little less reminiscent of modern politics. :)

It'll be nice to have some more Bastille music that isn't so preachy. I like Wild world as an album but you're just a singer Dan, Bastille are just a band. Your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's, don't get your political views poison your music, stay centre ground instead of being an extremist- extremists are either left or right for any of the swooning girl children who litter most Bastille videos and make me not want to admit to liking Bastille to other adults because you lot have a bad rep. Left or right= extremist... just look at ANTIFA!
Extreme Left would be a Socialist/Communist record. Wild World was a critique of the current political Right, it was Left but not extreme. IMO music has as much right as any other form of communication or art to be political - the only reason pop music isn't more often is so that it can appeal to a bigger majority of people. Less people may be able to enjoy or appreciate it, but that doesn't make it objectively worse or poisoned. And you're right, their opinion is no more or less valid than anyone else's, and they have the same right to express their opinions as anyone else - it's an issue with cultural frameworks that they have such a distorted amount of influence compared to other people.
