I am a 54 year old widow. Happily married for 23 years. I stumbled into the dating scene TOTALLY unprepared for these dating shenanigans. Came across one of your videos one day this past summer and have been listening and subscribing to you ever since. As old as I am this advice is STILL relevant even for someone my age. One of your dating videos even made me cancel a date with a man I was having second thoughts about. I'm glad I did because I ended up finding out he had a long time girlfriend. You are sooo right that women need to follow their intuition. It can save us a lot of heartache. I would love to be married again someday to " my person" but as they say "I'll wait" on God🙏🏽😊

You are NOT old at all. You are at the peak of your best life my friend. If you don't believe me, ask an 80-year-old woman! Age is only a categorization of time spent on earth. As the years mature, you will reflect on this period of your life later on and realize that you were indeed at the pinnacle of your life. May God recharge your intuition so that you will make only decisions that will serve His purpose in your life!

I was 55 when I became single after over 25 years. I wasn’t prepared either! It’s taken me 6 years to figure the shenanigans out and basically who I am as a contemporary woman at this age. I had met a male right after my divorce and God made it clear…him being nice, have a modest retirement, and wanted me is not enough for me. Friends were telling me basically I was too old to be this picky. Some of these older guys are man boys. I wish Pastor Blake was around back then, but grateful for his teaching now.

On a Sunday morning, I attended a church where the 73 yr old Pastor said his mother told his sisters, “A piece of a man is better than no man.” He went on to talk about having a pair of britches at the table was better than not having a man at all.
This was part of his sermon to a congregation predominantly single women; many of whom were single mothers. I was horrified.
After service, I challenged him on that disruptive, ill, sabotaging advice. I pointed out how harmful such a message was especially considering the makeup of the congregation. I communicated many of the women struggled with low self awareness and value. The implications of such a message was physically dangerous to the vulnerable population entrusted to him.
    He stood on his advice.
I was grieved when I thought of the life his mother and his own wife must have endured. I remember thinking God was merciful by not allowing them to conceive because he potentially ruined generations of other people’s children.
I never trusted him again, lost complete respect for the other ministers and elders who did not have the courage to speak up.
I recall feeling dreadful and physically ill Sunday mornings.
I left and never returned to church.

Or either they have deep rooted emotional issues. Many men are depressed and want a woman to avoid being lonely. Not all men are cheating, some just aren’t happy and they self sabotage as they are emotionally unavailable to themselves and can’t give to others. I’ve seen it happen. You can’t give what you don’t have for yourself.

We settle because of fear of being alone the rest of our lives, not getting the help we need when we need it. Fear is the opposite of Faith. God is always with us and He understands everything about us.
Women should be more concerned with taking care of their own needs, saving and investing for their futures, getting debt free. Saving and investing should be a priority for those in their 20s so that they will have financial security when they are old and sick.
Trust in God, not man. People will come and go, but God will never leave us nor forsake us.
Thank you so much for your awesome wisdom, Pastor Blakes. You are helping so many of us. God bless you, your family, your ministry.

26 years old and settling. I just had our baby weeks ago and he already puts all of this sexual pressure on me. When i say im tired or just not up to it im "making excuses" . Im tired of being with a man that always wants me to prove something to him a man that is all about getting his needs met thru me no mattter how im feeling. Im tired of being with a man that makes me doubt my own ability to think and reason.
I don't admite anything about him, I pursued him with I was lonely and desperate, now that I got him I want out.
I smoke daily to numb myself from the reality that although its hard to let go We were never meant to be together.
All he talks about is sex. My needs are unmet
When you idolize a man so much you feel like you're so lucky to have him so much so you lose sight of your own worthiness. You lose sight of the fact that he wasn't even on your level or deserved a chance with you but he broke you down with intentional games to make you feel less than so you would accept his crumbs.

From New Orleans with deep core values, attended catholic school and went to the Baptist Church every Sunday as a child and still went even into adulthood. Rev. This is great reminder for women to understand their power. If a man is feminine in the relationship, the women is allowing it by bringing her masculine. We have to block our own limited beliefs about what’s available to us or what we can have in a relationship: marriage.

I feel bad and am sorry I stayed with a man who didn't love me. Am a woman with everything to love about her. Am glad he left me wish I left sooner

That was definitely me, settling for someone I knew wasn’t for me. I knew I didn’t want to even take him around my family, pants sagging 🤦🏽‍♀️ and I thought I was in love. 51 and thought, I’m getting older I better hold onto this. Thank God I’ve discovered these videos they have really opened my eyes and made me so much better.

I only settled once, it was nearly 20 years ago, but after that taxing experience, I promised myself that I would never do that again; however, here's what really sealed the deal to my commitment: During the time, I was in the midst of my settling, me and dozens of others witnessed someone yell out right in front of us AND the man she was talking about: "I DON'T WANT HIM!" Right then and there, I knew I would never 'EVA' settle for a Man. Plus, I come from a family of serial-settlers so witnessing that play over again and again, you may even want to consider to become a Nun (LOL). Speaking of play overs, THE LORD has shown me time and time again that what HE has for me is for me and therefore based on HIS splendid record, I already know that I don't have to settle for a Man because my HEAVENLY FATHER only dishes out the Best!

I’m so glad I found your channel! You have validated ALL of what I’d been feeling in my now former relationship!! Now time for healing and your videos are helping with that too. Thank you for these topics. Until I found your channel, I thought that these things were something I had made up in my head. Now I know that I should just follow my intuition because it comes from the Holy Spirit. Again, thank you thank you thank you! I thank God for you, Lisa and your ministry! ❤❤❤

Very true about when a woman doesn’t feel emotionally connected to a man. I had a man who I loved and we were aligned for marriage, but i became emotionally exhausted. I communicated my concerns often…not much changed. I suggested we meet w/ my Pastor- it didn’t work out. I suggested we do couples therapy- he wasn’t fully on board. I read books, watched vids, got back into therapy. I was exhausted and his efforts were minimal. Of course he was completely happy with me, but I wasn’t fulfilled. One day I thought: he checks so many of my boxes except for the emotional connection. For a moment, I imagined this may be the reason good women/married women end up having emotional affairs. It scared me to think about it. I did not want to put myself in that situation or him, so I ended it. I miss him, but I just can’t compromise on emotional connection. I place too high a premium on that. ❤
