I am Dutch, 62 years old and very nostalgic and sentimental. This song tears me in two. The lyrics, the singing, the melody. Oh, those memories from back then. This is one of those songs that I never, ever get tired of. Have wet eyes and a lump in my throat every time.

Hi Ruud, its one of those coming of age movies, we can all relate to in one way or another. It takes up back to when we were young. The song for the ending is a Masterpiece and a stroke of genius.

@Ruud,: Same here sir, and I am only 39 years old from India. The emotions this movie and it's songs invoke are universal. A memory of our child/teen years and of much simpler times.

Same for me. I’m 60 years old and it brings back great memories. Great song for the finale to the movie. The wedding scene was filmed in Stamford CT and they asked my mother if me and my brother and sister wanted to be in the movie. I didn’t know it was a real movie. I thought it was just someone filming with a personal camera. We opted to play baseball at the park. I wish I chose the movie.

Hello Jamie, I just watched The Lords of Flatbush for the umpteenth time on dvd last night and let me tell you the final 5 minutes of the film will always move me to tears every time I watch it with your song playing in the background. Very emotional seeing Stallone, Winkler and the Italian wedding with your music. It's in my opinion one of the most beautiful cinematic moments and not many people realize it...... This is one of the greatest movies ever made about the 1950s. It not only brilliantly captures the mood and tone of the era itself, but sweetly and nostalgically reminds us of our lost youth and of the painfully fleeting nature of time.

I first heard of "The Lords" back in the late 70's when Winkler was doing Happy Days, I was 10. I never saw the movie. Winkler was more popular then Stallone back then. I just saw the movie for the first time in 2022. I have to say I truely liked it. One of those coming of age movies. The ending song The Wedding Song is very poetic. One of those songs you like the first time you hear it. It goes right in with the movie. Its a trip to see these young actors and what they became.

Is there any way of taking the audio of a UA-cam clip and transferring it onto a cd and then onto an Ipod. There are three songs on this soundtrack I'd love to have on my Ipod. You And Me, You and Me (Break Up), and The Wedding Song. There must be some way.

Guys is it me or doesn't The Melody remind you of "Memories" by Elvis Presley.

It does sound like the song "Memories" that Elvis sang. It never crossed my mind until you mentioned it. That's why the song moves me because I love "Memories". Thanks for pointing the similarity out!

You're quite welcome. I saw this Movie when I was a Kid and Read The Book as well and I loved Both. I think that this Movie and Diner were two of the Best Movies about Male Friendship. Did you know that Henry Winkler "Replaced" Richard Gere as Butchey. He got fired but still did well for himself.

No I didn't know about that Richard Gere originally was casted as Butchey

Yeah, and here's another quirky fact. Richard played Danny Zuko in a UK Production of Grease that Olivia Newton John saw and Henry Winkler was originally considered for the Role of Danny Zuko.
