- Members of the royal family have issued a new statement about the health of Catherine, Princess of Wales, and fans continue to breed theories surrounding her long absence from the public eye. How is Her Highness really doing now? And why has it taken her so long to appear in public?
When the Princess of Wales underwent elective abdominal surgery in January, Kensington Palace said and reported that she would return to royal duties after Easter Sunday. This came as a real surprise to many.
In a new statement, representatives of the royal family tried to reassure fans after rumours emerged on social media about the possible whereabouts of Catherine, who has not been seen in public since Christmas Day.
Give Catherine a go. Let her recuperate in peace.

It's mind-boggling that people don't consider the extent of the impact on the body for abdominal surgery. I was a RN for 35 years, and back in the day, we kept people for 3-4 weeks in the hospital after abdominal surgery, then they went home to regain strength. She shouldn't have to apologize to "fans"... anyone who cares about her will chill the hell out, and respect that it is PLANNED that she wouldn't be returning to royal duties until after Easter. Get hobbies, people.

The Princess of Wales is a much loved and admired figure, not only in Britain, but also across the world. Her prolonged absence has caused the rumour mill to go into overdrive. The only way to squash the rumours is to provide some evidence that she is okay. We dont want to know what her surgery was for. We respect her privacy. We have seen plenty of King Charles, but nothing of the princess. Why? If she is well enough to be photograped, then why have we seen nothing? If she is not well enough to be photographed, then please be upfront and honest and tell us. People appreciate truth and transparency. But at the moment, the palace is starting to look a bit shady. Tell the truth, and the rumours and speculation will stop.
