F1 2022 video game played on 8K Virtual Reality VR PIMAX 8KX headset ULTRA settings

- F1 2022 is the early release 'Champions' Edition.
Headset used is a Pimax 8KX.
All in game graphics on ultra/high/max. Frame rate is 45-50fps.

I had lots of problems with VR (consistently crashing, not being sharp) until I followed the guide in this Steam discussion from DonPromillo - steamcommunity.com/app/169225...
There is lots more potential in the system, it hasn't been tuned or overclocked specifically for the game yet. This is just an early quick peek. - Ігри

I am really enjoying this game in VR. Looks really good with my Index .
I’m enjoying this on my 8kx as well, can’t go back to a non pimax headset with non existent FOV. Can’t wait to try this on the 12k.
I used the hardware config settings and it runs buttery smooth, but the graphics are a bit blurry, anything at basically a 50+m distance is unreadable and even the steering wheel is blurry. Am I missing something in the SteamVR settings or PiTool? Also running a 8kx
I've got the PiTool set to 1.0 on render scale, SteamVR to 4K each eye with 100% scaling.

@@racedandrallied I have the 1.0, I think my SteamVR is on auto...do you have yours on custom? And if so, what are the numbers you see at 100%? I appreciate your help!
@@peterjones94 SteamVR is set to 100% which is 4516x3948.
I got very low frame rate with my 5k super and 3080… and gave up
What are your specs mate ? I was considering buying vr and also got a 3080. And what do you call a very low framerate ? Thanks in advance

I can play iracing with around 140frames when I set pimax to 160 deg. But, F1 22 with low VR frame setting… it is too bad; even though I am able to play.

@@Angry_Pig hey, bro its because your dedicated vram is too low. I had to switch to a 3090 which has 24gb. Bring up your task manager and click on performance and you should see it almost being maxed out.
