Rideout with Modena Ladies + newbie Dave [Modena Gent] & Satnav Steve having a test run on a Triumph Tiger 955i.
Gill had a present for us, mugs with our photo on them. Ace 👏 Joining YRRS for the SC Multi-meet at the Red Lion in Heckmondwike.
Although not a long way, it was good for new riders to experience riding in a group [and a group of scooters 🤣]
From Shipley Market onto Bradford Rd/Canal Rd/Wakefield Rd? Off into Birkenshaw A651 to the Red Lion. Good turnout, the sun came out & brilliant music + fab singer.
We came back the scenic route, with Dave leading [he knows the area] Back through Liversedge A649, over Harthead Moorside/Moortop, over Bailiff Bridge, Lightcliffe, Hipperholme & Denholme Gate Rd. Then, onto Halifax Rd to Shelf? Denholm onto Keighley Rd, then at Cullingworth onto B6429 through Harden. Then the road was closed, so had to loop back via Wilsden, Cottingley, to get to Saltaire. Gill & Dave needed fuel. At this point, we left them to get back to Leeds, because....I really wasn't feeling well [gallstones 😔]
By the time I got home, Stevie had to put Scarlett away. I'll spare you the details, but it lasted all through the night.
But...all good now and looking forward to next rideout for Rob Burrow MND Charity - Wakefield Trinity to Featherstone Lions 24th August 2024 👍
