Gota do what works for you . We use a conveyor an still separate into different piles as I’m splitting . Nice stuff goes up the conveyor shorts get tossed to my right and uglys go to the left a maple gets tossed in front . I like seeing all the different ways everyone does things .

I do that also but it all depends on what rounds I am splitting and what part of the yard I am splitting at. Thanks!!!
Good explanation and it makes sense to me. Everyone has different needs but it makes sense to be able to sort it on the fly so to speak.
