Ride, Rant & Review. Crosswinds - wheel comparison notes: Campagnolo Shamal vs Zipp 353 NSW

- Riding along, gibbering about Sunday morning plans and whatever came to mind, it seemed that this would be a full #RantAndRide outing on the bike. But then, at the turnaround, the wind blew and I took note of the different sensation that I felt with the Campagnolo Shamal wheels versus the Zipp NSW 353 that I have been riding for months.
The difference is significant... and actually quite surprising at how severe it is.

I'm always on the lookout for birds too Rob
I ride shamals and have to say never experienced any crosswind traumas Mind you i do ride a steel Pegoretti which may have something to do with it[not one of those "plastic bikes" ha ha } AS usual very informative and entertaining video👍
It’s not that it was extreme … rather, it was the contrast with the Zipps that made me notice.
PS. Lucky guy: Pegoretti, eh?
@@ride-media okey dokey have heard the zipp nsw are pretty good At the end of the day it all comes down to personal choice 🚴🚵
@@mikelogan2684 ... too true. Don't get me wrong, I love the Shamal wheels (as I'm sure you do). They look fantastic, roll beautifully, accomodate the tyres that I like (with ease of fitting and no fuss tubeless set-up), and carry that heritage name: Campagnolo - what's not to like?
Also, it's worth noting, it also comes down to how much you're willing to spend... and what products you can find in 2021.
