On the situational awareness and thinking ahead, sometimes it appears that FSD thinks pretty far ahead (when it sees a car pull up to an intersection ahead, out recognizes and slows down very early) but also agree, merges and route planning are rough at times.
A setting to "avoid passing within 1.5 miles of an exit" or something similar would be nice to have. Seemingly easy to program that in as well, it would just be depriortizing passing in favor of exciting under simple conditions.
    Great video man!

Thank you! I’m pretty sure it thinks far enough ahead with the front cameras, but I’m just not sure it does the same with the other cameras.

Great video. I share a lot of the same gripes.
I just really wish FSD wouldn't lane camp in the fast lane so bad. I want it to get back over after passing, regardless of there being a car behind me. (That feature also doesn't work well when the car coming up from behind very quickly).
Also, I really wish the car could process some "memories." There's one spot on my way to work where the car consistently switches to the left lane approximately 1/4 mile before the exit on the right. It will miss the exit 100% of the time if you allow it. Another, where it consistently tries to turn left at a stoplight from a straight lane, and another intersection where maybe 50% of the time it tries to get in a right turn only lane to go left. I'm each of these it would be great if the car could recognize a driver override happening in each specific location and assess WHY the driver is being to override.

This is exactly what I’m commenting on. Learn when and how I override and build that into your automatic driving!

@@DailyTeslaIRL it seems like at the very least those segments where a driver overrides in the same location more than once should get flagged and escalated. Maybe there are some challenges with privacy or something coming into play, but it still seems like they could have a bug report submission option like PCs.

Since it is now end-to-end neural networks, I think the issue is likely if it can run inference with those additional inputs. Maybe, maybe not. It would be interesting to know how it really works!
