- Chase Robinson, Chris Lee, and Blake Lovell share their SEC football Week 3 power rankings for the 2024 season after two weeks of play:
- Alabama has offensive line issues and struggled with South Florida, but a strong fourth-quarter performance helped the 'Tide to 2-0.
- Arkansas looked terrific at Oklahoma State, but crucial mistakes cost the Razorbacks the upset.
- Auburn has more questions at quarterback than answers after Peyton Thorne’s dismal performance in a loss to Cal.
- Florida coach Billy Napier may have a quarterback controversy on his hands after DJ Lagway’s spectacular performance in a win over Samford.
- Georgia made Trevor Etienne a part of the offense after a Week 1 suspension as the Bulldogs took care of Tennessee Tech.
- Kentucky’s passing game was in disarray in a lopsided home loss to South Carolina that dampens the mood around the Wildcats considerably.
- LSU struggled to pull away from Nichols State for much of Saturday, and now the Tigers have some injury issues with Jacobian Guillory and John Emery done for the season.
- Ole Miss continues its dominance on both sides of the ball with a lopsided win over MTSU, but what’s the status of Walter Nolan after he left Saturday’s game with health concerns?
- Mississippi State nearly came from 27 down to pull a road win at Arizona State, but the Bulldogs couldn’t stop the run all night.
- Missouri’s the country’s only team with two shutouts in two games after Saturday’s blanking of Buffalo.
- Oklahoma’s defense pulled it through for a win over Houston, but the Sooners have big offensive concerns exiting a 2-0 start.
- South Carolina shocked Kentucky in a dominating defensive performance in which the Gamecocks' pass rush dominated Kentucky’s experienced offensive line.
- Tennessee obliterated NC State with its explosive offense, but its defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown in its last three games.
- Texas looked very bit a national title contender, dominating Michigan in the Big House from kickoff on.
- Texas A&M’s offense got a much-needed boost in a 52-10 win over McNeese State.
- Vanderbilt didn’t allow Alcorn State past midfield and costed to a 55-0 win on Saturday.

When Vandy is not at the bottom, the rest of the conference needs to wake up. I may not be a major fan of them, but like when they have some good days.
Most rankings I have seen have Tennessee at 3, a couple at 2. Either way, I'm so glad they jumped up. Our next real test will be Oklahoma.
Haven't seen Tennessee at 2 or 3 in any rankings I've seen. They usually sit around 5 or 6 from what I've seen. Imo I'd say they're a solid 4 or 5.

Ole Miss is a little too high on this list Too Soon. Most Ole Miss fans are in agreement with that. We have faith in our team but, don't want to be boggled down with the hype until we have legitimate data points to rest our hopes on. Either way I'm sure we'll be proud of our Team whatever the outcome is this year. Just like in years past.
3 or 4 is where they belong. Definitely ahead of Alabama, about the same as Tennessee

I’m sorry but Tennessee should be over Ole Miss at this point given who they’ve played. Ole Miss hasn’t played anybody noteworthy imo to justify the 3 spot. The top 3 right now should be UGA, Texas, and Tennessee. All 3 of those teams currently have convincing wins over top 25 opponents and they haven’t struggled against their FCS/G5 opponents. Once Ole Miss actually plays someone noteworthy, then they could be considered a Top 3 team.
USC is being totally disrespected in the AP & Coaches polls at #11 they should be well ahead of Oregon, Michigan & Penn St. all three of those teams don't look very solid at all right now plus USC has a better win than any of them. I Thought Oregon was just buying players but I didn't know they were buying rankings SMH. Moving over to the SEC teams outside of Georgia & Texas concerning Alabama. Ole Miss & Missouri & to some degree even Tennessee has literally played nothing but trash scrimmage level teams. Georgia looks real good but truth is they real haven't played anyone yet either unless you consider Clemson valid which I don't but it was a Good win for Georgia & Salute to Texas. The truth is outside of Texas & Georgia we really don't know what any of the next 4 SEC teams are really about yet they have played no one excpet Saint Mary's Girls School but we do know USC beat LSU one of the top teams in the SEC & USC is noticeably better than Missouri. I would put USC at 4 right now just based on the opposition they beat & how. Miami is also being disrespected I would put Miami ahead of both Penn St & Oregon at least for right now. 1 Georgia 2 Texas 3 Ohio St. 4 USC concerning 5,6,7,8,9 & 10 put them where you like but Miami should be ahead of at least 2 of the SEC teams. Even in the playoff era the SEC bias still exist.
Tennesse has allowed 13 points since the Bowl game. And scored 165 points in 3 games. No one is talking about this massive point spread.
How many did you score when you played Mizzou last???
BTW Mizzou has allowed Zero points.
@@GaryBehnenin the previous 2 games Heupel hung 60 plus a game on Missouri. It will all work itself out this season. Tennessee has an elite defensive front. As good as Georgia if not better.
Acting like Michigan is any good is funny. QB couldn't play for an FCS team. Defense lost their guts to the NFL. Harbaugh gone. Texas is good but acting like beating Michigan is some amazing win is wrong. Michigan isn't a top 25 team. Middle of the Big 10.
UM is not good this year - I believe any top 5 SEC team would have have beat them soundly.

I understand Chris, Blake & Chase you have Tennessee ranked #4 And I ain't mad about that Ranking but you have Ole Miss @ #3 that's what I don't understand 💯 because who has Ole Miss played through 2 wks nobody really and yeah Tennessee played A FCS team in UT Chattanooga but UT Chattanooga is a good FCS team and then they played NC State who alot of people had making the ACC Championship game them & Miami so don't see how Ole Miss is ranked above Tennessee when Tennessee has played tougher teams so far than Ole Miss?

As a Missouri fan, it’s all good. We are #6 in the AP poll. That’s respect considering we are entering week 3 and we are not a blue blood. Our offense is not going to look like Cook throwing 4 TDs a game which catches more attention than red zone rushing TDs which is pretty much what we do.

TN should easily be number 2 under GA after the slaughter we saw against Chattanooga and the Demolishing of NC State.
If you look at the weapons and how deep TN appears to be, at this point, the only team I think can beat them is Georgia.
Texas is good, but they don't look like a number 2 team. 3 or 4 at best.

Yeah I agree with @@jessebynum9355 on this one. Ole Miss will have their chance to prove it against real competition but to this point they’ve played no one. That’s how power rankings work. And they’re really irrelevant, your team has everything in front of them and not being top 3 on this list means nothing. My Vols could be top 3 too but we’ve not done it against good competition yet. We all gotta earn our spots.
