    This was definitely a fun video. Sad to see an expensive helmet that was sent to you didn't fit but it also shows how genuine this video is. Just try to make sure the batteries are charged beforehand.

    Brilliant and informative, as a new rider it has given me more to think about regarding helmets. Good stuff!

    Hi Kate, a great effort for your first unboxing... well done. A few things I would like to find out about the helmet, would need you to rope in one of your friends as a test dummy (haha) who the helmet will fit... so we can find out what it is like to ride with... what the wind noise is like for someone the helmet fits, with the screens up and down, ventilation, fogging, how well you can hear what is around you, what the peripheral vision is like... if the jaw bit stops you from looking down at the control panel on a wheel or not... if there is room at the ears for 'PackTalk' or other helmet communications and most importantly, what the helmet is rated for... as in what compliance stickers does it have? But you need a crash test dummy that it fits to let us know. I am sure you or Adam can 'Volunteer' (by force if necessary) one of your friends for a cheap rate (a couple of beers) haha
    I must say, the helmet appears ok... there is something strange about the back of it, as someone else said... the 'one size fits all' approach they seem to have taken puts me off a bit... I see what they are doing with the overlapping clear visor... it might help against helmet wind noise or it might make it worse? Only someone who the helmet fits can let us know. To me, the huge shell reduces the market for these helmets to 'Large adult males' and will be a miss for probably 90% of the market?
    I suggest you lasso someone who it fits and make a continuation 'ride test' video to follow up. I personally ride using an opening face (BMW type) helmet from eBay that I paid $AU68 for... I bought an 'O'neal' helmet too (fixed face) and fitted my PackTalk to that... but I much prefer my opening face (Marty style) helmet even tho it makes one look like a clown with it open (sorry Marty) haha... it is just so comfortable and easy to communicate when stopped.
    Make a part 2 video with a guinnea pig that the helmet fits... I look forward to that.
    cheers from Down Under

    Great review. People need to know these things before making a purchase so great job with explaining the sizing issue. More Kate in front of the camera please. Your videos always make me smile. Keep up the great videos.✨✅✨Your Awesome!

    I use an HJC i70 (my motorcycle helmet) and it's really good for people who wear glasses because it has built-in grooves for the frames. It also has a drop down sun visor which is awesome.
    I think helmet dive would be a great topic for a new video. At least for motorcycle helmets, there's a lot of important information such as the different ratings (DOT vs ECE) as well as different head shapes, removable chin parts, proper fitment, etc. It would be awesome to evaluate these from a monowheel riding point of view. It would also be really good information for those who don't know much about motorcycle helmets!
    Btw, those cat decorations are awesome, especially that giant cat head! If you have a pet cat, I hope they can get an introduction in the next "Kate in front of camera" video, haha

      That’s definitely a great topic idea, thank you! first I’ll need to learn a bit more about helmets, but then I’ll definitely do it!
      Happy to hear you like my cat decorations, and yes I do have a cat :) I’ll ask her if she wants to be in front of the camera for next time ;)

    Thank you for the review!! I was looking to get this helmet but I do have a small head .. seems like all the other reviewers had big heads which is why they said it was a perfect fit. Glad I found this one.

    Very nicely done for your first unboxing. Hope you get to do more.
    The front of the helmet looks great but the back of it seems unusual. Maybe it is because of the type of safety feature that is being implemented. I would be curious to see how well one size smaller would fit you.
    Have a great day.

    That LS2 is also too big for your head. If you shake your head up and down and side to side, unstrapped helmet mustn't move on your head.
    Correct size helmet always feels small when new. It takes roughly two weeks of use until padding adjust its shape according to your head.

    • @Tennouseijin
      @Tennouseijin 2 роки тому

      Yup. I bought an LS2 helmet at a motorcycle gear shop - first I tried an L size, and it seemed like a perfect fit... at which point the clerk suggested I should go for an M. Maybe it's a little harder to put on, but it doesn't move around on my head at all, so it's definitely safer.

    Actually looking for a new helmet with a large visor to help vs cold wind. My head is definitely bigger but still, this fit on M size is not reassuring

    • @monocat.1011
      @monocat.1011  2 роки тому

      Also both visors don’t close perfectly, especially the clear one has a gap, so some cold wind will still be able to get through.

    First a foremost you must wear a helmet the right size so the lack of a smaller size seems to be a problem. Especially since the sizing appears to be generous anyway.

      I won’t be riding in this helmet, but I’ll try to find a person with a bigger head for reference in my upcoming review. There I’ll also talk about the sizing issue more in-depth

    I Noticed it was DOT compliant, That is a big perk you missed. That means its compliant to be used as a motorcycle helmet. Im not sure what the laws are in Europe, but in the US motorcycle helmets need to be DOT compliant. So even on EUC's and Eskates. I trust DOT compliant helmets. I have seen a few helmets that EUC and Eskate reviewers post about and a good amount of them are not DOT compliant, even though they look so cool.

    yeah i had the same experience with this helmet, just way too big and doesn't fit well or feel secure at all. pretty disappointed especially for how much it costs but i'm not gonna pay to ship it back to china for a refund lol so i guess i'll just keep it as a backup in case my new helmet (tsg pass) cracks

    The one thing I would not buy online (unless I was doing an exact duplicate) is a helmet. An ill-fitting helmet is very painful. Is that a motorcycle helmet or downhill bike helmet? Looks like motorcycle - which is probably what anyone who rides a high-speed EUC should wear.

    This helmet is way too big for you girl. The test is to grab it in the front and pull/push it up and down. If it moves more than a few cm it's too big. If you ever get in an accident the helmet may flip up and actually hurt you. I strongly encourage you to exchange it for the small version.

    Nobleman helmets are cheap Chinese garbage. Someone else did a review showing the Cyrl helmets are the same garbage but much cheaper. Nobleman just charges you more for a crappy helmet. Glad I didn't end up buying one. It's not even properly DOT or ECE certified, even they lie and say it is. Stay away from this helmet.
