I like Joe Burrow a lot, as a player and a person, but he is just not in the same level as Mahomes. Mahomes is so far ahead of every QB right now, he can only be compared to the greats who are no longer playing OR are in other sports. It’s astonishing that I can already say that when he is just 27. Burrow is great but he doesn’t have the arm of Mahomes, nor can he read defenses as quickly. He gets sacked A LOT. The O Line gets blamed but last year the Bengals had a top O line and he still got sacked a lot. His mobility isn’t the issue, so to me he isn’t reading fast enough or making the right decisions at the line. Whatever the issue actually is, what separates Mahomes is his intelligence and decision making at the line. No one can touch him there.
