Don't know why this came up in my feed, but I'm so glad it did. For me, this was a couple years before the end. They haven't been the same band in over 25 years. That's ok, they're beloved by legions, but this made me super nostalgic.
The Good'OL days. Pure unadulterated raw energy. Trey just fucking rips it up. First show was Charlotte NC at the Grady Cole Center 1994.... became a full pledge addict. 94' Boone NC, Spartanburg SC, Philly New Years run, Boston Garden 94 New years. Thank you for this post. Favorite years 93' 94' 97' just gets no better than a little 94' madness. Peace > Love > Phish
Nice Dave! Always asking folks who were seeing shows in the 80’s. Do you happen to have any tapes left from that era? 80’s? A lot missing and in need of upgrades.
@@cleantones sorry gave them all away! And sadly tossed some too. I saw the writing on the wall digital was the way to go, I had very few gen 1's, my tapes came from larry cornblatt in those days he was a deadhead who taped some early phish. The ones with low gen I did keep came from Charlie Dirksen but even those are gone
This footage is amazing. You seem to have quite a collection of priceless Phish footage from the golden era. Thanks so much for putting it together and sharing
1994 - the first time I saw phish.....I could not believe what I saw.....just completely blown away and mesmerized......they were such a different band back then....going in different directions every night!
hey...... SAM I am,... i know yiu are actuallty trey......hey trey... why didnt you play """"""""if """""I"""""would""""""I"""""""could...... and why didnt play divided sky.....THE WIND BLOWS HIGH
biggest thing I notice as someone who started seeing them in 97, the 94 shows seem to have purpose in every song. Even the composed parts of songs I've heard 100s of times keep my attention because they were so precise back then. I can't even sit through Reba or many other complex songs these days. I skip right to the jam if anything but in 94, nearly every minute is electric.
Nice as can be! Helluva Bowie! and the Guelah is pretty pretty perfect which makes it sound bewildering that ones ears could hear such a song. Adeline, too!
@@MrMarmar420 also wouldn't mind the Worcester 93 nye show. Another highlight of my early shows. I'm asking a lot I know, but it would be a trip to be at that show again.

Glad it found you! I concur. Will always have a love affair with the early to mid 90's Phish.

Was gonna say the same. Spring ‘92 is perhaps the height of their skill in my mind!

Darien 93 does not exist as far as I know.
