Thanks!!! And yes very true!!! Was a tough 2023 season here with very little snow to track on! We are going to have a brown Christmas for the first time ever in my life!! Hopefully 2024 will give better opportunities!
The feeling of finally getting him loaded in the truck and closing that tailgate. What a great personal accomplishment!!! Nobody knows that feeling until they've done it. Congrats on an awesome hunt and thanks for taking the time to document and share it with us!
Nate- another great track and hunt. CONGRATS! I love the 3rd person view that you give us of your hunt. You can tell that you are having an absolute blast doing it too. Thanks for bringing us along.
Very nice Mr. Nelson - congratulations! They are all a blessing and you seem to be well aware of that. And I sincerely appreciate your consistent testimony. All the best to you and your family.
A huge and hearfelt congrats tou you, Nathan - job well done! 🦌Absolutely THE very best way to hunt whitetails, IMO. You became a tracker when you started tracking those seven years ago, but now, this year "it's official"! 😉💪TGBTG ✝
Awesome hunt!! Great video again!!! That looks like alotta fun! We have a little piece of land near Emily mn that we hunt now. Used to hunt near Waskish mn for years.
Well they getting bigger, awesome video your editing skills are dang good, congratulations on a great tracking job and kill, maybe Josh can get another crack at ole big boy good luck fellas
Congratulations Nate ! You got your 2nd buck tracking . I missed the first one you got but have been watching your videos for a few years and i knew if you kept atbit you would score. Your getting very good at this in an extremely tough environment for tracking. Also your filming skills are incredible. You knew that buck wasn't a monster but you now have meat in the freezer. If i was to critique i would say you carry too much baggage on your hunt but and a bit over dressed but i wasn't there so what do I know. Again Congratulations and hope to watch for years to come.
Agreed!!!! Hahah!! I have a good system of things that I need to be able to film it all well like the pouch for my camera in the front and my backpack, but overall it doesn’t seem to bother me too much! This day was actually super cold and windy, so I had an extra layer or two on then normal!
For my brother and i most the deer we shoot tracking are 30 yards or less .we now sight in are rifles at 50 yards . still shoot a 100 and 200 just to see where it hits . Dont matter the size of the buck its the time on the track and the adventure he took you on that is what you will remember.congrats on your second tracking buck . thanks for bringing us along
It is so fun being up close and personal with these bucks like this!!!!! Looking forward to all the new adventures this season and best of luck to you!!!!!
Great buck bud!! I've always wanted to stalk one down. The closest I've gotten to that was walking out of my bow stand because of high winds. I snuck up on a fawn by accident and let an arrow fly! 4 feet over it's back! lol
Nathan, I can’t say for sure what was on that buck’s head, but don’t underestimate a buck’s ability to weasel a big rack though a tight spot on occasion. They know exactly what is on their head and how big it is. If you’ve ever watched a big buck come through thick brush, you’ve likely seen them bob and weave their head through the junk. Tracks going through tight areas don’t always mean a small rack. I live in Maine, and the woods up this way are SO thick at times you wouldn’t think a rabbit could get through. The bucks still navigate it with ease somehow.
Great point!!! My buddy Todd has told me they will sometimes plow through some nasty brush! What was so interesting to me is that he could have easily side stepped to a big opening but ended up going through it…just had me wondering why he wouldn’t take the the potentially easier route! Thanks so much for watching!!!!!!
@@swostillwateroutdoors stalk hunting is something I'd like to try someday , I live in northern Vilas County right on the UP Michigan line and just north of me is Michigan's National Forest and Mike's and miles of public land mostly , the DNR there has been doing small acreage clever cuts in like pockets which is the best way to do it , 5-10 acre slashes surrounded by mature forests yet
Wicked pissa ! I meant to say something on the last video, you boys know you can cycle those rifles on your shoulders right ? Faster follow ups (if need be)
Big racked bucks can fit through those spaces. Watch for a step that’s out of line with the others going through the opening. That means they put one side through first then the other.
It is a product that I came up with the concept for using a 360 camera and had my buddy with Uncharted Innovations do the design and make it! Hopefully bring it to the market in the not so distant future!!!
Bait hunting is the most common style of hunting in my big woods area! I have very mixed feelings on baiting because it makes buck tracking very difficult…I do implement that tactic at times throughout the season and it is a great way to locate a buck but it is freaking hard to kill a mature buck over corn! They have the gig figured out 99% of the time!
Congratulations on your second tracking kill 😊 It's not about the horns It's about the experience

Nice video. Wis requires blaze orange head cover Josh. Be safe

Congratulations on your two buck week
Thanks!!! It was quite the week!!
Congratulations.. Great hunt!
Thanks so much!!!! Looking forward to more hunts this fall!!
Hard work pays off congrats man.
It has been a steep learning curve that is for sure!!! Thanks!!
Another in 1 week wow that's awesome dude!! Keep making these videos coming. I had fun watching with a fist pump when you got it done !!!!
Thanks man!!!! It was such a great feeling pulling it off again!!! Can’t wait for more this fall!!!

Thanks man!!! Always appreciate your comments over the years!!!!
I hunt in Sawyer county and it was nice to see a video with that kind of habitat that we hunt! Awesome job great video!
Heck yeah!!!!! Such a fun area to hunt!!!!! You got some elk over there too!!!
Yeah we see elk quite a bit! Found a real nice shed a couple years ago.
That is awesome!!! What a cool find!!!
Very cool, I’ve always wanted to track a buck in Wisconsin, it’s just so rare that we get the right conditions to try it.
This past season was horrible for conditions…..never had good snow all of rifle and muzzy here in Wisconsin :(
You da man! Last season I feel like I surpassed the tracking hump and have confidence in my ability. This year it’s going down!
Heck yeah dude!!!!! Once you get that first buck down it really feels good!!!! You got this!!!

Yessssss!!! I am officially a tracker now!!!!
Nice country to hunt, good job. Great idea to have a hood on your jacket. Too many guys wearing ball caps with no ear flaps.......
The hoodie is nice for keeping snow from falling on my neck! Only downside is it reduces my hearing!
Awesome hunt!! Great video again!!! That looks like alotta fun! We have a little piece of land near Emily mn that we hunt now. Used to hunt near Waskish mn for years.

Yess! Hopefully this year I can make the jump to a mature buck!!! 😂😂😂
Pretty cool! Congrats, it’s about the journey, you did good circumstance in the end kind of sucked, but what do you do?
Thanks!!! Yeah I was a little bummed but at the end of the day just thankful to finally be on the board tracking in Wisconsin!!

Thanks so much!!!!!
Good to you as well this season.are muzzleloader season starts Oct 14 here in the Adirondacks
Wow you have an early season there!!! Prob not common to get snow that early?!
Have hunted in snow a few times in mid October
Man that would be fun to get a jump on some early tracking like that!!!
Man I would love to hunt this way. It never snows in south mississippi
Yeah it is very specific style that I think a ton of hunters would really enjoy if they had the chance! It is my favorite way to hunt!!!

We cornered a big buck on a drive that we all worked as a team for the shooter to get it ran through some nasty crap.
What’s that strap your using to drag the deer?
Not sure?? Just one my dad gave me….works really good though!!!

Let them go, so they can grow.
Def not the size I am targeting, but when the opportunity came to get my second ever tracking kill, the experience is totally worth it!

Baiting.😡
It is a way of life in my county…makes tracking very tough!!!
@@swostillwateroutdoors
It's a damn shame.
@@firecaptaintom I will say, this is a big woods setting so very few bait hunters are effective. Most often if they get something it is young.
Congratulations on a very satisfying hunt! How far did he go from the time you cut the track until you got your shot off?
It was a super short hunt! Maybe went 3/4 of a mile at most!!!
