I had the same problem with the sending unit on my White 2-110 this past spring during tillage. It started dripping where it's put together. Also, you are not Charles City - more like Charles City East! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the looks of the flat fender 770’s my Grandfather had 2 of them they are gone now I’d like to get one. I took over my family farm in 2020 and I easily have 100 years of projects I want to do! Don’t let it get you down look at everything you have accomplished and feel better about that! Last your cousins combine blew up with some of the corn field left. Are we going to see picking videos or the 7300 combine? Thanks always enjoy your videos Ross
I really like those late 770 and 880 tractors. The styling on those seems so nice and they look like a comfortable tractor to drive, especially with that deluxe seat you put on it.
Glad you caught it before you ruined the motor. I've been considering going to a manual oil gauge. I know it isn't factory, but at least I would know how much pressure it is carrying.
The old 770 won’t be too hard to unhook from the post hole auger and get it out and plow in the spring. Nice to see working on your Olivers again though the orange videos make for a good night light
Good video Ross. My dad had a 77 and a super 88 for his farm and that's all he used. They were super reliable for his operation. Sure, do miss those days. Thanks for sharing.
770 is one of the sweetest-sounding tractors. Riecker School of Improvisation. You are like myself and others, we have the "Land of misfit products and undone projects" all around us. If everything was done perfectly we would be lost because of having to much free time. Take care and get ready for a new year. P.S. Did you ever have more than a no-cow herd that ever read your plans? They seem to do what ever they can do to drive the herd owner nuts.
Ross, Dad had two 770 one of them had flat top fenders in the comfort seat that was my favorite tractor when I was on the farm as a kid. Thanks Michael
Do you have tillage equipment for the 770? Do some field work with it some time. Ross, we had a loading pen with double height cattle panels, let me tell you, they'll jump higher than what you think they will and panels, won't stop them either if they want out.
If you take cotton balls and put peppermint oil on them and throw them in your tractors Lake underneath where that one was found you wouldn't have that problem mice are allergic to peppermint so they do not go anywhere near them my boss many many years put mothballs in his trucks and always had problems and then we started using the peppermint oil and had no problems after that you can get peppermint oil at Walmart put it in cotton balls works very well for a John Deere dealership has also but it is a mixture of cinnamon oil peppermint oil and a bunch of other stuff
Dumb question to ask is did you put enough oil back in it after the other night? That stupid oil light may be ok for the application if it has enough oil. Had the same problem on a 2040 John Deere, it had an oil leak at the sender and my Great Uncle ran it 10 hours on low oil because he forgot to refill, never was sure what pressure the spare sender was supposed to be so he ignored it, turned out to be correct for the tractor once it had enough oil in it.
😊😊 HI ROSS most tractors 🚜 😊 after 196O they didn't have a flat belt pulley no more most went 2 PTO driven equipment and most of that took place in the mid 195OS they didn't have engines on equipment after that they had the paper flat belt pulleys and later on they went 2 a steel flat belt pulley and they used them until the end of the production run of those tractors 🚜 Ross the easy and the fastest way 2 get it smooth again would be 2 sand blast it and power wash it also U also have 2 get all the dirt grit and grease off the tractor 🚜 or the dirt will show through and it will look bad 😮😮 and U have 2 use good quality tractor 🚜 😊 paint 🎨 😊 OMG 12 26 2O24
Hey Ross, Recently over the Thanksgiving holiday, I purchased an 8N Ford that has an odd oversized 12v battery on it. My intention is to attempt to get the correct sized battery to get rid of the rigging look and use the correct battery hold down bracket which I got from the guy that I bought the 8N from. Do you think a group 26 battery like the 26R like goes on a Super A FarmAll would be a good battery that would be pretty close to the size of the original 6v battery? The tractor still has the original generator still on it, But the generator doesn’t appear to work and I am going to do the alternator conversion sometime or other. What is the best conversion kit option available out there?
I would love to see you making this 770 more better, also the 880 and the woods mower, I would love some videos on those again.

Fencing is just never ever ending! Thank you for sharing

Instead of drilling a hole for a screw, just clamp it on there with a vice grips👍🤠 1:00
You should check the oil

The bovines can be surprisingly destructive. I'm down to just six old cows, they don't do much damage any more.
Good video Ross
Time to show the old girls some love
Yes this 770 looks awesome great
Nice video Ross
You always engineer things well to make it more better for temporary.
It was nice some green again although I did see some orange in the background so sadness must still abound .😁. Great video Ross , see ya tomorrow . 👍
Barnyard Engineering. Heard my cousin say that over 45 years ago while working on a 930 Case.
There always that slim possibility you have zero oil pressure. Me personally would check with a temporary oil gauge.

I use those kind of wrench all the time love em
👍👍👍👍👍
I like the down pressure for post hole diggers, but sadly none of my tractors have that. Have a good weekend.
great video yea that could have been ugly if you had pumped all the moter oil out
Great video Ross, i would love to have a 770 or 880 Oliver.
Great video keep up the good work

👨🔧🚜👍👍
Time to make it more g o o d e r
usually flat spade senders are for temp & round are pressure
Prices are pretty good.
That sender could be for a guage instead of light.
They all cannot be all show no go we need we need go and then show
Maybe ive missed it in past videos. Curious about the story behind the donkey and the horse, also how manny cattle do you run?

So many projects,so little time 😅
I wonder if the switch you put on is normally open when it should be normally closed for the low oil pressure light.
👍

The appropriate name for trouble makers: Ground beef. 😮
