I flew back to LAX on a Hawaiian A330. We got to altitude and I felt something like sweat on my face which was strange because I was cold. I was actually crying because 5 days in Maui wasn’t enough and I missed it already.
I just left Maui yesterday. I nearly broke down on the plane too and keep in mind i spent 2 weeks there. I’m watching this video to get me out of denial that I’ve left the island
I love this airport! Was first there in November 2020 on a direct flight from LAX on United. Also did that again in April 2021. Also went again in July 2021 however going from SBA(Santa Barbara) to SFO(San Francisco) to OGG. I will be back here this July direct from LAX except on Southwest. I am excited to come here without a mask this time and enjoy other stores and restaurants throughout the island without one too
Me to omg I miss the sea view and the smell of sitting out on the Lanai at the hotel and the luau and the turquoise water and the road too hana and ziplining and smelling the flowers and hearing the waves crashing and the view of Moloka'i and lana'i
FYI this is where supposedly my wife’s Disney luggage tag and strap where stolen. We had a layover going to SFO from Honolulu. Arrived in SFO and her luggage was pretty much bare. We flew with HAL. News came out that a few HAL luggage workers where going through luggage’s and stealing valuables. Including a sheriffs hand gun.

You can never spend too much time in Hawaii!

this place is awesome its litteraly an outdoor themed airport unlike some airport that are just indoor no outsides
A lot of Hawaiian airports are like that such as Kona airport OGG HNL
gotta love those open air concourses
I walk through those same gates every year
This airport is outside because it’s always so warm

Gates 1-5 have been renovated and the exterior portion is now part of the interior and more modernized

I flew to Maui and had a layover In Honolulu, also I probably won’t fly to Omaha because it would be easier to drive there since it’s close.
