Actually I did try it before (install OpenWrt/pfSense), but not on the NanoPC-T6. This time, the SSD is just for power consumption & read write benchmark. The Intel Optane SSD is very cheap, because it is just 16GB. I used to have some of the sticks lying around with different OS(s).
do you think FriendlyWrt is safe to use? i am getting a R6S but only Openwrt snapshot available, was thinking of running with FriendlyWrt for the time being.
There are 2 x HDMI out for video output and 1 x HDMI input where you can connect HDMI video source such as camera output for computer vision application, etc.
Thanks for the info and greetings from Latinamerica!
Thanks and happy to see the comment!
OpenWRT on an optane SSD.....I like your style!

Amazing Perfomance & Bandwidth capabilities for such a tiny device!
FriendlyWRT supports SQM?
Keep up the great info your provide to us!
Best regards!

Did you encounter any evidence that it's not safe?
Yes of course. You can also use OpenWrt 24.10.0-rc5 on the R6S.
@@Ignotus. I’ve been hiding friendlywrt on the r6s. Rock solid.
The name FriendlyWrt is new to me
Basically it is just OpenWrt, with some customs configuration and (maybe) proprietary drivers/packages.
Could you do a video for building custom friendlywrt image for nanopi's.
Is rockchip based on arm?
Yes it is
what if compare with redmi4x openwrt
which one better?
Hi bro, I have Mini PcRouter with j1900, i211 and run OpenWrt OS but I don't know it have support hardware offloading 😢
Hi, I think the software offloading will work just fine for J1900, and you will most likely hit 1Gbps WAN to LAN.
DR900VX works on mini pcie slot?
Yes, it work great on Mini-PCIe port. I have tested on both x86 mainboard and ARM SBC.
what is the HDMI port design for ?
There are 2 x HDMI out for video output and 1 x HDMI input where you can connect HDMI video source such as camera output for computer vision application, etc.
Why they are keep adding PCIe slot for 4G/LTE is beyond me. They should have been M.2. I will get one once they add M.2 slot instead of PCIe.
Mini-PCIe 4G/LTE module is cheaper compare to the M.2 version.
