Everybody who commenting saying miles sound good must be def. They should sound a lot better as a bigger band. And they where on the come up the past 2-3 years so I am not hating. They've regressed. And they're at a stage now where they need better arrangements too.
kareem ford better arrangements? Miles is the only band I have heard so far that has change up there book weekly. I have them in my top 3 sounding bands this year. Nothing is wrong with these arrangements especially since everyone always talking about the SWAC music and directors like they are GOD and Miles is in the SIAC which don’t mean ish. Miles has superior musicians and band directors. I’ll put them up against any HBCU band. You can’t say that about every band but I will for Miles because they give you that wow factor and they are very versatile when it comes to the music and sound.

So you telling me Miles doesn’t have any one in there band or staff that is knowledge, skill, and artistic sensitivity in performing music. That’s funny. Because that’s the definition of musicianship. Bama State sound terrible, aamu was over blowing and hitting wrong notes, SU over blow majority of their songs, JSU from what I heard from the classic against BCC they sounded ok but they need some work too. None of these bands are perfect. I have heard Miles in persona and the other bands you name so I can judge by hearing and seeing in person instead of UA-cam. It’s a big difference. Just because someone is a member of an SIAC school that does not make them less musician than someone at a SWAC school. Music is music. It doesn’t matter which school you attend it’s all about the person who is playing the instrument. Band is not football. You might as well say Div 2 schools don’t have the musicianship as D1 school which is totally a lie especially when you comparing bands. Lol. Majority of the SWAC schools and MEAC was once part of the SIAC. Those directors at Miles has masters degrees and PHD’s so do that make them less knowledgeable of writing music because they not at SU or a SWAC school. If you took those same directors from Miles and switch them with SU directors than you will be on their nuts because they part of the SWAC. It doesn’t matter which conference you in or which school you attend, the person who picks that horn up and practice daily and often can per-fect it all. So chill with this SWAC ish.
