A lot of guys don’t realize how this affects the overall sound..they wanna crank the gain and turn the bass up on the head unit..I want crispy clean pure bass.. no clipping or distorting
People don’t realize once you get past a certain volume it really doesn’t get louder but just gets more distorted lol.
Interesting. My guy Rando just dialed that sumbitch until the windows rattled. Never knew there was actual settings.
Lmao
🤣🤣
best way to tune
😂😂😂👍🏾👍🏾
The way you type I like it but I did the same and now I have a blown amp
Full video: ua-cam.com/video/RF3KawxA4qE/v-deo.html
Jacob how do you like those amps… I’m lookin for power for my Sundown Audio x12.v3 and was considering the JP 23 version two instead of the salt 4K… any thoughts, suggestions?
@@jahcousteauu_STAYinSHAPE Great results so far
Js kept turning my shit left and right till it bumped 💀💀
U snapped 🪦😂⚰️
What I'm doing 😂😂
😭😭😭😭 lmao fax
Lmao same if they blow they blow
Fuck that man make sure you don’t have too much gain you always wanna set the bass from your stereo if you need more. But you should be able to set your gain comfortable with the volume at a level u always play it at and let it bump for a bit and see if u get hot amp or anything then turn it down little by little. Don’t blow the speakers if you can help it speakers won’t blow unless they’re getting clipped fr
i know people say bass boost on the amp is bad but ive used it on mine for years and 0 issues out of anything
my buddy fried his coils and amp using the bass boost setting man shit smelt so bad 😂😂
Distortion, if you don’t have distortion with bass boost on then turn it back off and turn your gain up
@@Ceobub and barely have any bass? no thanks
something wrong with your system either speakers don't give the type of bass you want or electrical doesn't have enough to put the proper bass so instead of power your listening to distortion
@@musclecarsdaily3020 that’s not what I’m saying. Put headunit at 75% volume turn bass knob all the way up and gain knob all the way down, BASS BOOST OFF. Now, play a 40-50hz test tone at 0db and turn your gain knob up until you’re solid lol. If you have a proper system you won’t need bass boost it’s just added distortion I promise bro
i did it already should be balanced to enjoy nive bass not only punchy bass, also the sounds and voices are important for better experience
Could you show who to tune amplifiers when running a dsp
Never use dsp sorry but the amp settings shouldn’t change
Get you some SMD tools man very very helpful if you have the money to spare
i jut got myself a dd1 and a cc1 like a week or two ago
U can get the same thing out of the $50 oscope the aukuyee one... I won't buy Any Meade products... yeah I can afford them I make over $20 an hour just dumb to pay that much lol
Even if you don't got them duckets at least use multimeter and test time jeeezz these guys
@@terryburton971 just a side question since it was said but over $20 is alot?
@taylamayde depends on where u are I suppose lol
As a GD player , subsonic makes me die 💀
LOL
Lmao
With that kind of tuning you migh as well use bass boost
120hz☠️
Why because the gain was all the way down? It's being controlled by the head unit or hasn't yet got there. But the gain isn't a turn the amp to 12 o clock and that's half the power type of thing
You said you have the rca's running to your main Amp. How exactly does that work? Are you not using a splitter for the rca Jacks?
Strapped amps ran, meaning a jumper rca from strapped amp to main. video here ua-cam.com/video/GsoUJli637Y/v-deo.html explains multiple amp rcas etc
Usa a CC1, and a DD1
👍👍👍
I just use an SMD DD-1
Can't afford that myself
What do you set the gain on ?
How do you know when to stop turning it up? The gain adjustment is the maximum output of the amplifier without distortion. You set your source at the maximum volume without distortion and turn up the gain on the amp until it distorts, then back off a little.
It must be set specific for your car lmk if you need a explain
I hate when amps dont come with enough knobs to properly tyne the bass now adays tbis is why i stock to hifonics. Its cheap and they allow u to properly tune an amp
Do you know how to tune powerbass XA-1500D amp to two 900 watt max subwoofers
Do you know where I can learn fundamentals of this?
This playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLkYp1Fj-99b0pFNxaohIxCaer8VxQVZ2j.html lots of help learning. Enjoy
Yo el subsonic lo tengo en 50 Hz y el bass boost en 0 db y el lpf en 40 HZ traigo el THE EPICENTER AUDIOCONTROL viva el power system
EPICENTER/AudioControl is a MUST for my systems
I’d never tune that high max 60 hz but each there own
Max...
he said he has his head-unit for additional low pass filter so if the amp is at 100Hz and your head-unit is at 60Hz the amp will never see anything above 60Hz. Using a stock head unit I really miss all those filters that aftermarket head-units have so now my amp is at 50Hz low pass and I still hear notes higher than that. Head-unit is very important in shaping your sound.
Should not have amp lpf and headunit lpf. Pick one, usually sounds better that way
I have 2 g3-8d4 gravity 8" dvc 500w rms on skar rp 800.1d wired down to 1 ohm and a gravity 7 band 1/2 graphic equalizer/crossover what would you set gain Lpf and subsonic at I'm a newbie at this I can hook everything up but still learning settings ect
Car audio help for all that: ua-cam.com/play/PLkYp1Fj-99b0pFNxaohIxCaer8VxQVZ2j.html
You have it set right for a head unit with a built I namp
i can only turn my radio half way up before my red light on my amp comes on how can i fix that
Check your tuning an check your hot an ground connection they can be the reason as well just tune it till no clip an protection comes on it helps having the clip power an protection nob like what came with my Taramps bass 3k amp you can buy um separately it's a phone jack hook up so it's a tight connection
Make sure your connections are good that definitely could be it. Also it could be maybe your speakers are at like 1 ohm and ur amp only allows 2
I ran my new sub untill i broke in the subs then i threw that 2k in the trash dropped in the new 10k all knob right now she sounds perfect
How about using Smaart and your ears. Every case is different.
Can you do one on the kicker cxa 1800.1
Should be same concept for all monoblock amps
@JacobViral kicker has a low/high button and gain/crossover/bass boost.i don't know what to set it on low or high and the crossover either😬
Where did you put gain
Set using a tool ua-cam.com/video/RF3KawxA4qE/v-deo.htmlsi=NFCSrwsh-5gEz18p for full video
Don't u wanna leave the head unit open wide on ur crossover if ur already using the crossover on ur amp
I always like to set both to be safe
Amplifile?
I have a stock bose sound system in my 2004 Tahoe. I have a pioneer head unit. Just wondering if any one here could help me with the equalizer to get a little more bass until I can afford a subwoofer?
Without upgrading to subs it won't really be a drastically improvement no matter what you set/adjust. Speakers aren't made for bass
No measurements means you're just guessing.
every time i build a sub enclosure recently i get some sort of math wrong and it ends up sounding distorted. any tips?
Probably bad tuning/port area, or you aren’t a big enough box.
@@JacobViral its a 10 inch Lightning audio. I looked it up and it reccomended 0.75 cubic foot box?? Or 1.5 with a port. Idk what it should be
Nice video 👌
My amp has a level knob whats that for it seems to act like a volume knob
The gain setting: ua-cam.com/video/FUx5axitdBo/v-deo.htmlsi=7x6s45LjVWTcRdVM match to stereo preout rca voltage usual
You just guessing bro, invest in the DD1 and CC1 and you’ll never look back. Trust
You should try turning everything off since you're amps strapped, you should be able to play with nothing none of the gains turned up
An when running strapped the main amp is the one yah tune the other is a slave style amp just for extra power
Doesn't that sound system break with my songs?
U are just guessing
But I love my bass below 20hz though lol
I mean ya but only if your box is tuned that low. Ain't no way I'm playing 15hz full power when my box is tuned to 28hz lmao
@@bailey2517 mines tuned to 27hz and at 19hz i already get it to bottom out so i put the subsonic at 20 i believe, on 20 its fine in current setup
@@fancomments9307 I can't hear anything below about 16hz even at max excursion on my 15. Like it's not even worth playing anything below 20hz because I can't hear it much
Cuz u listen to rap
@@bailey2517 true you cant hear it but you can definitely feel it.
I once had two 12s on a 700 watt amp with a band pass box I thought it didn’t sound good enough the way I connected it so I stopped by a local car audio shop and asked if they could take a look and tune it he did was the worst mistake I made few days later my amp blew lesson learned don’t trust anyone that’s not a real professional
For real. Lotta guys really don't know its actually pretty technical.
2 12's on a 700 watt amp. Thats pretty poor. Most reliable amps are ones that are class D monoblocks. And 1,000 watts at a minimum. Make sure you have proper power and ground. Dont forget ohm ratings per sub and how you plan to wire them. If the subs are 4ohm DVC, then you series the coils on each sub then parallel them both together bridged on an amplifier.
@@hayzeproductions7093 this was years ago the technology has advanced greatly now I’m talking mid 90s I know about these problems now so next time I put together a system I’m sure I’ll take the steps to power and set it up right
Always have way more power than you need.
Lots and lots of headroom will keep your amplifier from clipping and damaging your speakers.
@@Geerladenlad thanks for the info I will apply that on my next build I’ll make sure to start from the ground up so I wouldn’t have that problem again
Uhhhh! If you've been doing it that long, you should know that removing the negative wire from the battery eliminates that...👀
Noo wayyy use a multimater and a test tone AT MINIMUMMMM
pls pls pls DO IT RIGHT.
you can set subsonic with a CC1 SMD
very $$$$
Huh😮
No thanks I just turn until it thump
Jajaja it's not tuning it's equalizing the Amp
Bruh
you don't need the LPF on the amp if you have it on the head unit
Will you tune my amp? 😊
Using videos for help sure 👍
wtf ???
20 - 100 hertz??
nahhh bruhh ... tune your shit better
look into scope meters and external crossovers
my bad we all start somewhere
Later that day For some reason my subs are blown idk why ☠️☠️☠️ man you set the gain first with dd1 or o scope then use a cc1 or dmm to set crossovers I gerantee you are wildly far off from the settings you are after
Get an oscilloscope
Don’t care for lpf to music coming though subs
Pleses unlock my car!!!!!
Trash settings. Was done when I heard high pass at 20hz.
Tf. that was the subsonic knob. its not an hpf lmao
You need two Learn what your doing
Bass boost all the way up... lol
Jk. F bass boost.
But if I don’t have mine on it does not push out no bass
@@Satx_DJJ that means you need to troubleshoot your system and do it better, not use bass boost lol.
All Bass settings fully clocked to the right 💪🤯👌 lol
Thats not how u tune
Noob la
Is LF,the same as LPF ?
Look at amp manual sheet, low filter be low pass filter
