You should try ascension wow it's amazing. You can trade and speak and team/party with the opposite faction, and if u turn on high risk mode, even attack your OWN faction, if anyone bs's you. and its fully classless, and fucking rocks!

Best decision they made, they were using UE4 for the first alpha. If they stayed with that the game would've released looking dated and would've turned off a lot of interested gamers. Switching to a new framework like UE5 requires a big refactor of the existing code base and takes time, hence the delay.

I think it's worth remembering that New World was announced before Ashes of Creation in September 2016 and was in development for 5 years before it was released fundamentally broken in 2021. What would the development of New World have looked like if the end goal was a huge world with a complex functioning economy? Rather than a shallow, polished PvP theme park? I think it would look more like AoC.
Has it been that long? I stopped paying attention to AoC and usually go 3-4 months between checkups to see if there's any measurable progress. So glad I didn't dump any money into it, is all I can really say. Some moments of promise mixed with wondering why the core class and combat gameplay is still not fully in a game that's been in development for over a decade, as one would think that was the first pillar that would be tackled in a PVP MMO.

Furthermore, they have always said they have put the majority of their effort into systems, not combat or skills, the systems including crafting and gathering professions, node development, environmental changes, governance, these are their focus. Also - they only have 2 classes left to reveal. This may shock you, but once they get all their systems down, I don't think the fine tuning of classes or adding abilities is that difficult at all. The difficult part is the server technology, world building, and dynamic changes such as node influences

If I cannot run into hordes of horrible clickers and keybind my way through them like a knife through butter forget it, the gameplay in pvp HAS to be ATLEAST as good as WOW. If no one can stand out and we are all just "part of an army" dying the same, forget it. I need to be able to go 20-0 and dominate, the game has to have the capacity for good players to stand above the crowd of basic players, we need a way to tell who is good at a glance, it needs to show in terms of gear, the top gear HAS to be held away from the masses, it has to be earned and exclusively for top players. Warhammer MMO like Ashes had physics so you could block a hallway with your body, and everyone was stuck behind you getting AOE together like a bunch of idiots, it DID NOT WORK. Ashes has to be more like WOW, I don't care about bumping into anyone, I need my controls to feel fast and fluid and smoothly constantly moving and killing. I am worried about this game. If something is physically blocking me when I am trying to 2v1 some clickers its going to get annoying and people will just go back to WOW.
Unfortunately my friend, everything you ask for will not come true. It is not made for young audiences who prefer frenetic pvp like me and you. Or maybe they will change their mind in the alpha 2 tests, but it is very unlikely that they will adapt to the young audience, who prefers action combat.
