I think the defense had claimed the “walk the dog” letter was found in the envelope marked with her attorney’s name and should not be evidence because it was privileged but testimony proved the letter was found in a book.

she went from saying there were 6 pages, to 6-8 pages, then 9 pages. and it was not a lawyer/client privileged document. it was not directly from/to her lawyer and addressed to her mom. and whether you call it a letter, note or a scribbled in crayon drawing is irrelevant. semantics. also i find the inappropriate banter between Kouri and the male lawyer disgusting. but hopefully, they will do this during the trial to show her true character

Regardless which folder or book contained the letter, it shouldn’t be considered privileged if it wasn’t between Kouri and her attorney. Inmates can’t stuff/hide any document or writings in an envelope and expect privilege if it isn’t truly privileged with the attorney. The document itself should determine whether it is truly privileged material or not.
What exactly did he read or ‘not read’ to determine the document was a “security threat”? What’s protocol? Then who is he supposed to give it to and say, hey I think this is a security threat can you please read it throughly and let me know? So we can take measures?

They are absolutely required to do regular searches of the inmate’s cells to find weapons, drugs, and other contraband.
