Makes sense keeping an "old" vehicle going as long as rust doesn't get it. Parts are cheaper, labor is lower, ownership is a one off purchase price, and as we can see, mechanics are happier remembering simpler times. 😃
What about the wet belt From crank to fuel pump bud Loads and loads of these were sent to an early grave As originally people assumed they where chain drive still Like the old DI’s
Im new to mechanics and trying to learn, can anyone explain why this timing belt isnt linked to the cam and crank, what is the differnce. I thought all timing belts were ? How do the connecting rod and pistions move in time on this engine. Whats the difference. Sorry if this is a silly questjon. Very new and trying to learn
Got citroen berlingo ,hdi 2011 1.6, when it runs get a winning sound , taken fan belt off still got it , so changed the diesel pump and the timing belt with a gates and the water pump , still doing it I'm lost anyone got idea?
Your filming is so clear. You have impressive kit so this help make it look so easy, but we know it is not easy! Great repair man.

Ive had several of these vans all with over 150k with no record of wet belt replacement. Did Ford actually make a reliable wet belt?!
