Isn't that part of the day to day business operations to be done by a company and it's employees? Whereas an outsourced bookkeeper is usually an irregular contractor for a business, like weekly or monthly?

What is the best software for me to use to keep up with my ( fairly simple accounting) and be able to print a professional looking receipt / invoice for my clients? . .

Both can work, it would depend on the amount of transactions you have. As a Salon, I would imagine you are seeing alot of customers, so probably Quickbooks

I’d expect to pay a long-term capital gain tax (15-20%) on the difference when you sell.
