EXCELLENT How To QUICK TIP! Where you place your Waterfall should tell a story and be discoverable from many views.
Never give the viewer everything at once when building a backyard waterfall.
Instead, hide elements that from one angle can be seen, and from the other angle are barely visible.

Thanks. I've never don't it before.... I'm constantly learning, and this is such a quick and natural looking move. 👌🏻 it took me about 10 to 15 minutes to foam and place the stones.

When I built my pond I did the exact opposite. Right out of the bio falls I did a 5' section of rapid falls and then went to the traditional frame rocks and weirstone. I love the effect! I recently entered my pond into the Aquascape DIY pond challenge. Hopefully you'll be seeing my pond soon!

Those rapids are cool! Can you give more info on creating them?

Basically you dry fit them, foam all the low cracks, backfill with gravel, more foam, next layer, repeat. The idea is to foam enough to make sure the water flows over the rocks. It's about the simplest waterfall I've ever done. 👍🏿 👌🏻

I want to build a pond for about 20 ducks and I’m curious will a wetland filter be able to cope with a such a high poop(nitrogen/ammonia) load ??

Wetland filtration will handle the load. Just make it 30 to 35 % of the service area.
