I normally get annoyed when people do reactions and pauses every 30 seconds but for some reason, I love how you explain things in depth with your reactions.
Thank you so much! Just under 30 seconds seems to be the sweet spot for avoiding copyright claims apparently. I also like being transformative as things unfold. I feel like a lot of people who react to things just make surprised faces the whole time, or talk OVER most of the video, then try to to go over everything at the end once it's over, but they've already forgotten half of what they saw and half of what they wanted to say. I try to live in the moment. lol.
Right there with you. This is pretty much the only damn channel I just can't seem to be fucked to care that he pauses; his commentary is just...sublime.
Man I miss these days... I just got into Jinjer in like Dec 2018/Jan 2019 and you started dropping these reactions a few months later. No Covid, no war, and many other (personal) things. Things just felt so... normal, and light hearted.
Eugene is my favorite Jinjer band member. He’s the bass player. First time I saw Jinjer was in 2018 on their first ever North America tour supporting cradle of filth. Afterwards Jinjer did a free meet and greet and I was able to talk to all band members except Tatiana. She was ill that night for meet and greet. I had custom made a cell phone case that had Jinjer’s old logo on it and all band members autographed it except Tatiana because she was absent. Second time I saw Jinjer was 6 months later when they were on their second full North America tour supporting Devil Driver. Fate had it that I ran into Eugene outside the venue walking on the sidewalk. I approached him we shock hands we talked and showed him the case he signed last time. He said follow me to his tour bus. Eugene had me wait outside and took my case with him inside the tour bus and had Tatiana autograph my case. I had all signatures now!! I will be seeing Jinjer for the third time this September now as Headliners!! Awesome video and reaction. Looking forward to your next Jinjer reaction. Peace ✌🏽
That is a really awesome story! I love experiences like that. I had a similar experience with Chelsea Wolfe. I drove 3 hours to go see her, and I desperately wanted to get her to sign my cd, and after the show she scurried backstage, as well as her band. Everyone rushed the merch both thinking they were going to come out and do autographs and pics, but I was pretty sure she was probably dealing with a lot of anxiety, so I went out back of the venue where their tour bus was and waited for the band and offered to help them load out. The bassist Ben actually ended up hanging out and talking to me for a while, and when I brought up one of his old side projects, he was shocked that I knew it and he gave me his pick. I got the whole band to sign my cd, and eventually Chelsea came out, trying to rush to the bus, and Ben was like, "go! go NOW!" and he yelled for her as I ran up to her, and we took a selfie together and I got her autograph. One of my favorite moments EVER.
Great reaction mate, lots of pauses but well filled with insight. And you rolled stuff back too, great choice. I first listened to Jinjer when I stumbled across King of Everything, and I was floored. I’m so glad to see them do a good show live, because that album is tight as fuuuuuck. Seriously, if anyone’s scrolling by this comment and hasn’t listened to any studio Jinjer... well when it comes to metal, Jinjer truly is the King of Everything.
I love this Jinjer performance. Saved this reaction up, and it was worth it... You got every little detail. She is so bad ass. So powerful. And so shy and nervous at the same time - just adorable. I saw them this month in my city and they made me really happy. Each performance seems to be perfect. Thankfully they are coming back in November to a smaller club, supported by the agonist and a third band. Have the tickets and can't wait..
They're coming back to the states, headlining this fall. I rarely go to shows, but they are coming to my town so....Also I'm a recent convert to Jinjer and I think what is special about them is they are a working man's rock band. There is no pretensiousness, they love what they do and they are absolutely professional. They deserve to be big. I hope it happens for them.
I think headlining a tour will definitely be beneficial. Judging by their youtube presence I was under the impression that they were huge, and I was just really detached from the scene. lol.
That's a good point, I'm not familiar with what is considered huge in the metal world anymore. I come from the land of 80s and 90s Iron Maiden and Ozzy. They may be considered huge already.
Thank you! I try to take it all in. Sometimes we don't even realize that it's the subtle little things that subconsciously cause us to feel certain things.
Tatiana is a something else. She's a vocal powerhouse, very intelligent lyricist, and, an incredible performer, with great energy. She also seems to have a wonderful, playful sense of humor. The whole band, though, just seems to really work SO well together.
I totally hear you on the crowds thing. Back in the late 90s, I was going to shows every weekend there was one within about 100 mile radius. Now, well, I went to the Bad Brains a few years ago, and, I'm going to Jinjer in October, and, as much as I want to see them, I'm dreading having to fight the crowd.
I've only gotten into them since a couple of weeks but I'm going to see them live. Because they're just the hottest band out there right now. And Tatiana's PHENOMENAL. As a vocalist myself She blows me away every single time.
Just a few "fun facts" about this festival: - It's a Hardcore/Punk and Metal festival, usually a 3-day festival at the beginning of July, with the main bands from each genre playing in separate days. - It's in Viveiro, Galicia (northwestern Spain), around 600Km (~373mi) North from my town. - It started in 2006. - Pretty much every major international band you can think of from each scene has played there. - Captain Clock's video is by far the most viewed video in Resurrection Fest's YT channel (2.2M views), beating the likes of Prophets of Rage, Arch Enemy or NOFX. - The "EG" next to the festival's name means Estrella Galicia, which is a beer brand and the festival's main sponsor. 5:12 - Tatiana asked the crowd to scream for her and they did. She laughed because maybe she wasn't expecting that they screamed back. : ) 7:22 - What she does it's not attention calling. The lyrics are so meaningful and she's so into them on stage that she "acts" them. Take a look at the lyrics for this song and you'll see that the gestures she does on stage are kind of a visual description of what she's singing. Remember the slapping and the smile gestures in Teacher, Teacher? : ) 9:35 - There she goes again: "this bull-headed boy". \m/ 13:40 - They didn't know, they were just filming her and caught that. Even Tatiana confessed that it wasn't intentional, she didn't realize she had done that until she saw the video. This moment has kind of become the 2nd "Pisces Chorus Moment" in reactions. :D I had heard the studio version of this before and I didn't really like the chorus, it sounded a little too out-of-place and too "poppy" compared to the rest of the song. I had also watched Roman doing a guitar playthrough of this song and was fascinated with the intricate work this song has, which is hard to notice when you hear the studio version. When this video came out I was curious to see how that chorus worked live and I was pleasantly surprised to see that she "abandoned" the studio chorus in favor of a much better, more appropriate screamed one. Now I can't listen to the studio version anymore. : ) This "new" screamed chorus is also an excellent example to show to those who are sceptic about her voice, of how easy and effortlessly she can do the low screams. Or any screams, for that matter.
Oh no, I wasn't saying that she was calling for attention, I was meaning that her presence alone, and the way she performs basically commands attention. Like you couldn't look away even if you wanted to, because it's so incredible to behold. I definitely noticed the way she kind of acted the lyrics in the Who Is Gonna Be The One performance. I really need to read the lyrics to these songs. lol. I catch bits and pieces, but not nearly as much as I should.
Fuck yeah bud I've been enjoying your Jinjer reactions. I'm seeing them in November in Seattle. So stoked. I havent been this awe struck by a band in forever. Keep doing what you're doing and stay classy🤘
At huge festivals like this, they got multiple cameras and each camera- guy (or gurl) has a task what or who to film. So they can gather all the best shots of everything. Sometimes they even do this live in real time (at Wacken or Graspop for instance) when the crowd is so huge, so that people in the back can see what's going on.
Truly enjoyed this reaction. I’ve been a lover of metal since I was in elementary school (way longer than I’d like to admit). Used to be a music critic. And I love things outside the metal genre on occasion (if it’s good). For me, there isn’t anything like Jinjer. Tatiana’s stage presence is so mesmerizing...so much so that it’s sometimes hard to comment on just how great all the other band members are. I really appreciate her style and aesthetic too. There’s just something about them. (I appreciate that you listened to my previous comment on Jinjer, by the way.) Out of curiosity, have you listened to Leprous or Allegaeon? Wait...just got to the part of the video where you mentioned seeing Chelsea Wolfe! I fucking looove her. (Also a misanthrope, btw. Being around people isn’t kind to my anxiety.)
Right there with ya, for sure. One of my fondest memories as a child was when my grandfather asked me what I wanted to do when I got older, and I told him I wanted to be a rockstar and play guitar. I was 7. lol. He came home a couple days later with an acoustic guitar and told me that If I proved how serious I was that he would buy me an electric. I think metal is in my blood. My mother put headphones on her belly and played Black Sabbath while I was in the womb. lol. But yeah, they are certainly an entity all on their own, separate from anything else out there. I have nothing but the utmost respect for them. I think the initial fascination with Tatiana has kind of subsided. Upon first introduction, she really is any metalhead's dream girl, especially if a metalhead has been devoid of the presence of any metalhead women, or any kind of human intimacy what-so-ever in several years. I need for my brain to shut up now. lol.
sweetheart, you are in love/infatuated with our queen Tatiana and you are not alone...i am as straight as an arrow heterosexual but tatiana makes me question that every time i hear her sing....her presence and voice are intoxicating
She really is unlike anything I've ever seen or heard before. What I have to question is how is she even REAL. lol. She has to be from another dimension.
Ref the footwear - One of the things I've noticed about Ms Shmaylyuk at outdoor venues, is that she goes for practical; comfortable, and reasonably grippy in the wet.
I've seen other footwear in other circumstances, but, I confess, that 'practical' may be projection on my part, since I really admire 'practical'. It's akin to the interview with Michael Caine, where he was asked 'what was your favourite film to work on?' His answer was 'The Muppet Christmas Carol - I got to wear my own shoes for almost all of it'.
@@rog2224 Haha, that's amazing! Michael Caine is awesome. For years I refused to wear anything but boots simply because of aesthetic, but now that I'm getting older I stopped really caring about the image as much. My motto used to be "Style over comfort", but now it's the other way around. When I shop now I buy everything with comfort and practicality in mind, so when I'm trying to choose my outfit or shoes for the day, no matter what I decide to wear I know I'm going to be comfortable in it. Tatiana strikes me as maybe being that way, like being stylish and creative, while still maintaining comfort.
Really great reaction. A bit on the long end, but you sure do pick up a lot of good points and details. Saw Jinjer in January and they are full on amazing. Need to see them again as soon as possible.
My guy I saw them on Friday in Cape Town and it Is the best Show I've ever seen! Hands down GOD DAMN WICKED PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!! I definitely recommend getting tickets
I found out about Jinjer a few years back by accident on UA-cam.And I'm glad I did.I'm an "old school" classic metal guy and never got into the "growling"type of vocals and the mucic that went along with it.I like a more melodic type of meta like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. But I just love this bad as a whole and the individual talent in the band. And I enjoy watching the reaction videos of Jinjer.Watching other people discover an amazing band and music.I enjoy your vids and the way you break them down .Really cool.Keep it up.BTW I've been a musician and in numerous band and worked on the crew for many bands over the years.I'm an old fart now at 63 but those were the days.Lots of interesting people and places. \m/
There are a few of us "dads" here that you wouldn't expect to see watching videos of a band that supposedly does "millennial" Metal: you know, low tuning, core-something, drums and guitar tones that sound the same in every single band... Ok, the low tuning box is ticked, nothing wrong with that, but the rest is not your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter bullshit: the drums sound genuine and dynamic, the guitar tone is Roman's and the bass... well, what can we say about Eugene's playing and sound that hasn't already been said? : ) It's so well done and refreshing to our experienced ears, maybe that's why many of us "old school", 50+ metalheads like Jinjer so much. We can recognize talent, chemistry, creativity but also modesty, simplicity and strong will when we hear and see it, and to me that's the best proof that their doing it right. : )
I love Priest AND Maiden. I grew up primarily on stuff like that and thrash. Then I got REALLY into black metal in the 90's. lol. You're never too old to appreciate good metal!
@@TheMoralMisanthrope - That's what I was saying: the older we get, the more we appreciate what's good, even it's supposed to be aimed at a much younger public. I don't think Jinjer are making music for an older age group intentionally but they sure are making music for the _connaisseurs._ : )
Resurrection Fest just released their whole Anti-Flag concert from 2018 a few days ago, which is the same bill this was from. I'm hoping they do the same with Jinjer or release more songs from that concert, considering this one song has more views than anything else on their channel by miles.
I mean, yeah, maybe a little. lol. She's just possesses so many talents and her presence is so INTENSE! There's so much emphasis on the emotion with her facial expressions... so much conviction and deliberation in her words and delivery.
“.......give me the windmills.” 🤘🔥❤️🔥🤘 Love that you catch, dissect, and gush as much as I do over every little nuance that each band member throws at us. I thank you for all the obvious hard work, knowledge, and passion you put into not only your reactions, but also all the editing and extras you do-top fucking notch!! Jinjer have, in a very short time, effortlessly moved into my top 3 metal bands...ever. Besides all the obvious masters from back in our day (I’m 44, and guessing you’re not to far either way from that), the only two that still remain remotely interesting and/or relevant to me are Clutch and Exhorder. The former mainly due to me living in Maryland during the early 90’s and being able to see them all the time-last time was a few months ago here in Austin, and officially hit my 60 show mark! As for Exhorder, once I heard “Homicide” on my alarm clock/radio from the local college’s 12-2am metal show back in ‘91, well...quite frankly, nothing has ever come close to matching their inherent ferocity, sheer anger, and intensity-not to mention the legions whom have gleefully (and without true acknowledgement) ripped off the groove that they all were born and bred with, and truly first introduced to the thrash genre. At least they’re FINALLY about to get the recognition they’re due-their new album is coming out in September on Nuclear Blast, and that fucking monster is gonna send everyone to school. They just “cryptically” announced July 12 as the release date for the first single (after previously posting pix from their first ever official video shoot, for said single!), so consider this my pleading request for you to please react to literally ANYTHING from Exhorder before then!!! I realize you get hit with copyright blocks, but I know for sure that neither the band, their management, nor Nuclear Blast will mess with you-Jason VieBrooks, their bassist, personally told me that after I badgered another reactor into doing a video. His handle is “iGoober”, and he graciously caved and did the song “Desecrator”, but chopped it up after getting some red flags. After I posted his vid to Exhorder’s FB fan page is when Mr. Viebrooks let me know that the only pushback would potentially be from whomever originally shot/posted the clips, not anyone connected to the band itself. Just realized I’ve finished a beer whilst rambling on, so will end it here with a sincere thanks for listening, and for all your insightful and immensely entertaining videos! Cheers, hails, and 🤘🔥❤️🔥🤘!!!
A lot of the festivals in Europe are recorded rather well, either for the bands, for the news, for the websites or because they are at least in part televised. Ps, if you're interested: Jinjer: /jinjer_official/ Tatiana: /tati_booyaka/ Eugene: /jinjerbass/ On Instagram. Tatiana is pretty active and quite hilarious in her postings, she's quite funny. Eugene posts quite a bit on his playing and instruction about how he plays and how to play their songs.
Ps, I have the same issue with large crowds. I'm autistic and large crowds stress the crap out of me. But for Jinjer, I'd overcome even crowds on the Werchter and Wacken levels.
Yo, shout out to Chelsea Wolfe at the end. I clapped like an idiot at my computer when you mentioned her. I love her recent work so much. It got me back into metal after being away for close to a decade. If you are into her, I've been struggling to find good matches for my tastes in metal but she most DEFINITELY is one along with Jinjer recently. Would you have any suggestions in the vein of these two artists? I do tend to lean towards more raw acts. You clearly know way more about this genre and it's artists than I do. Again, loving the reactions and your insights as someone on the outside of the genre looking in. Killin' it. I was waiting for a reaction to this one because I knew the eye opening thing would get you haha She mentioned in an interview that it wasn't rehearsed or anything and was just an on the spot improvisation in this performance.
Chelsea Wolfe is seriously like my FAVORITE artist of all time. She is like some ethereal being from another realm of existence. I normally listen to black metal and thrash metal, and finding another artist even remotely similar to Chelsea Wolfe would be difficult. Diamonda Galas is probably the closest I would say, but she's definitely an acquired taste. lol. You might enjoy the band Once Human. I'm loving them right now as well. I know of a TON of slow, dark, atmospheric, experimental post-black metal bands that are really good, if you're into that sort of thing.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Thank you, I'll give them a look here tonight while I work. I actually really like more experimental things. I've been listening to Sunn O)))'s recent release quite a bit late at night. I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'll listen to anything sort of slower and swimmy. That's probably more my jam than anything Thrash unfortunately. Do you listen to any electronic? I'd be curious how'd you'd feel about acts like Lorn, Arca, Two Fingers (Amon Tobin side project), or Blanck Mass. Not really looking for a reaction video or anything. Just wanted to give a few suggestions back in a genre I'm more familiar with. I feel like those artists would have some tracks that would tickle someone into Metal. They aren't as musical as metal but damn do they make some sounds that will make your loins tingle. I could throw out a few track recommendations if you want.
@@mp-illustration Oh man, I might be a metalhead since early childhood, but funny thing is I've also been a DJ since 1993. lol. I LOVE electronic music. Are familiar with BANKS? I love Lorn and Amon Tobin. I used to have one of his sets he did live on Radio One on CD, and I wore it OUT.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Nice! I've listened to a bit of BANKS, but never got too deep, could be time for a revisit. There's just SO much out there. And before I forget I definitely wanted to bring Zola Jesus to your attention. Her recent release definitely has some Chelsea Wolfe feel. The song Exhumed in particular. ua-cam.com/video/S4s-kGT5bFo/v-deo.html On the off chance you haven't heard her, should be a treat. Although she can get a bit pop at times in her sound. I've checked out Diamanda in the mean time and you weren't kiddin' about it being an acquired taste, but it's pretty sick sounding. It's on a playlist for later listening haha
@@mp-illustration I've heard Zola once a while back. I will have to check her out again for sure. I actually don't mind when an artist has a catchy pop feel at times. It can be uplifting or just fun. BANKS has some stuff that gets that way, but I still love her. I literally have had her last album in my car cd player for well over a year now. Have you heard the last Perturbator album? Such a masterpiece.
I love this performance and another great video from you sir. Listening to you talking about not going to gigs as much any more sounds very familiar. I really don't cope well in large groups of people either. It has to be a band I'm desperate to see. I think the last couple I went to were Future of the Left and Unsane with Big Business supporting. But I would definitely make the effort to see Jinjer. They are on the must see list!
Damn, I just now this! Yeah, I feel like I HAVE to make an exception for Jinjer. I would be an idiot otherwise. And Chelsea Wolfe. I always make an exception for her. And Banks. I will always make an exception for her as well.
Another great review. 👍 You only mentioned the *actual* clock sound in the break?! 😂 The entire composition resembles (intentionally) a timepiece, ticking along with precision.
I'm going to have to listen to it again for sure. They're so technical and complex... I swear there's SO MUCH little stuff I catch in the musical compositions AFTER I react to them.
Should you have an opportunity, you may enjoy experiencing the musical precision without the huge distraction of Tati - but at the risk of exposure to Roman’s magnificent MONOBROW!. 😂😂😂 ua-cam.com/video/qeaAoUpYo3A/v-deo.html
Athens-Hellas Respect..!!...Yeah man, I Like how you description 's on them from singer to drummer and both guitar and bass... For me dude, each one has a unique style something make's an unbeatable combination of four as a band...I Mean Tatian, feminine, brutal, childish, a freshness healthy face with a kinda I'm having ball's attitude. Drummer...I'm looking at and in my mind come's the picture of a child's first drum set the way he set's them. So damn cool.! Guitar and bass, man... both are SO on point, you can tell that they've been together since they first place that instrument's in their hand's. !!! Bass with a finger's so the sound we're listening blasting.. In General, UNIQUITY ...!!! Hey dude, it's the end of the set she says green and they scream. She's got him by the balls already. Hey if you want to check out a good ballad, check out Bad Water.
I think I commented this before, but don't know if it was on your channel. But most EU festivals have up to a dozen cameras recording all performances. Some or sometimes all of it is televised, a ton of it is streamed, Bands often use the footage for live performance videos, etc You can be sure there's 2 cameras pointed at her face at all times, one on every band member and several taking moving scenes.
Oh and about the drummer. You probably noticed he has his drum set setup very uncharacteristic to most drummers. It's all very low and flat in front of him, like a tablespread, instead of towers of cymbals and tilted drums. He also holds his sticks and strikes in a very unique way. Every member of that band is a master of their instrument and then they all one up their mastery by melding them together to bring out something even greater than the sum of its parts. To think that none of the Jinjer members are founding members and a few years ago they were actually a 5 head band. They condensed everything down to perfection.
Floor Jansen has one of the best wind mills I've seen with Epica Terra Sancta ft Floor Jansen live retrospect, it's symphonic metal. But dang both these ladies headbang like monsters
Actually they are coming to north America starting from October so this is your chance to see them live plus can you react to cloud factory live please by jinjer
Early September through the very beginning of November. They are headlining, and it is mostly if not entirely small venues and tickets are pretty inexpensive.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope They are hitting most of all the big cities in the U.S. I'll be at the Oklahoma City show. Check out their tour dates and road trip even if you have to go by yourself. I saw them in Denver last year by myself and had a blast.
..😝😝😝😁😁😁😁 What a treat man, I'm sharing your enthusiasm really similar mine too.! I'm trying to continuously watch your reaction, but I have a need to stop and comment, the Girl is like she knows every little thing will happen, she's also seemed like they have done the clip, although it's a fucking live on... That make's all to think of"what the fuck.?" But that is truly all odds are in favor of them..!!! Theirs alter band from Napalm is Unleash The Archers, kind of a power prog thrash whatever you like metal band, with again female vocal's which ', positive you'll love'em, their not death but there are some growling included, male growl's.! A small tip. Use cursor/arrow keys on the keyboard when seeking (~10 sec steps) the video. Also J K L works (step back | play/pause | step fwd). Fine tune with mouse.
He stopped the vid at the perfect moment. As he was talking, I'm staring at those eyelids thinking, "She's gonna freak him out, she's gonna freak him out when he notices." She didn't disappoint. ;)
You need to do Jinjer- Outlander. Highly underrated and one of my favorites from them. The video is from the Best Ukrainian Metal Band Contest show. It was back when they had a second guitarist. Keep up the great videos. Cheers!
Damn, just saw this comment! No worries, I've actually already recorded my reaction to Outlander, I have to edit it, so it should hopefully be up probably this Friday or Saturday!
Great analysis as always. This is one of their most recent professionally recorded concert performances. If you want to do something really unique, I've never seen anyone react to their cover of Lamb of God's "Laid to Rest" back when they were nobodies - but already utterly badass ua-cam.com/video/sXinr6fuDQQ/v-deo.html (it is a bootleg but with surprisingly good audio, maybe cuz the crowd is tiny? The song starts about 50 seconds into the video if you want to check out the audio quality, shortly after you can hear her say "Lamb of God"). Definitely worth checking out when you do your deep dive even if you don't react to it though. There are also old vlogs of them touring Europe with all their kit in a midsize sedan. Also an interview with Tati in Psychology Today and quite a few other interviews. Tati in particular seems to have grown up a lot since her mid 20s when we see her in her earliest interviews. She also seems happier now, hopefully not just better at faking it.
Oh god... I KNOW that pain WAY too well... trying to fit an entire band and gear into a vehicle that is WAY too small... we started out in NC and traveled all the way to LA in a Hyundai Tuscon to start the west coast part of our tour. Before that we had everyone and everything CRAMMED into a Scion tc. lol. I need to check out some of her interviews. I saw her tour announcement, and it was so sweet. I love her accent so much. She sounds a lot like one of my ex-girlfriend's mother. lol. They were Bulgarian. Similar accents though.
Mate, this was very good as always! Still love your obsession in details and also mentioning the fantastic guys which always disappear a little bit in Tatianas shadow. The long socks btw have a reason: mostly guess that they shall hide her self tattooed slipknot-like clowntattoo (the similarity to the slipknot-clown is a coincidence, when she made it she didnt know Slipknot) on her left lower leg she made a longer time ago.... ;)
Tatiana is AMAZING, but having such a tight connection with such a talented group of musicians I think helps propel her to her ultimate form. I just learned that about her tattoo. I hope she can get it covered up at some point so she doesn't have to be embarrassed anymore.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Oh... I think she is not that embarrassed about it, she takes it with humor. Eugene has more reasons for being embarrassed, after practicing at herself he was the next victim ;) Maybe you should check out this vid ---> ua-cam.com/video/8KqpdvlGUdE/v-deo.html
Probably too long for a reaction video, but for your own entertainment, check out the "Live in Madrid" video. Full live set list in a small club from a few years back. Good stuff.
You might try using the arrow keys on your keyboard for running it back a bit. A little easier than fishing thru the scroll bar with your cursor. Just a suggestion. Either way, though, love ur vids, dude. Rock on.... 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I saw a small part of that video back when it first came out, but I wasn't really into that kind of sound back then, so I didn't give it a fair chance. I just vaguely remember a dog being in it or something. I'm sure I'll get around to it soon though. It would be cool to back into it fresh and with an open mind now.
Closest place to me they're playing is Greenville SC. Atlanta is a little over 4 hours from me. Hopefully they will still have tickets for Greenville next week when I get paid.
I am totally digging your Jinjer journey. I completely understand your desire to dive into Jinjer's catalog, but I would recommend that you at least film yourself, and you can edit in your observations later, if you felt something was video worthy. I know that's a lot more work, but I really appreciate your keen eye and ear for the music. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Yeah, I still have a few more that are being asked for, so I think I'm going to do those and THEN try getting into their albums in order of release date, in their entirety. Might be a LOT to film, AND some serious copyright issues. lol
@@TheMoralMisanthrope I feel sorry for you. I heard Jinjer for the first time last August and before the weekend was over I had ingested their entire catalog. It must be eating you alive. Lol
I always forget that a lot of people use headphones. lol. I never do, so it slips my mind very easily. I need to put on some headphones and see what that sounds like. Thanks for the sub!
You've fallen deep down the jinjer whole sir. I recommend you take a short break to deep dive into the songs you've already discovered, recharge yourself and then come back to jinjer reactions once you've recovered
Wait... I'm confused... wrong version of the song, or wrong version of ME? If you're referring to the song, this was the version that came repeatedly suggested. If you're referring to me, I am currently seeking treatment for existing simultaneously between 2 dimensions. I can't help it.
watched a few more, still hangin on, but I stand by it: Captain Clock (original lyric video) is significantly better (to react to) if it's about reacting to live Jinjer, "Who's Gonna Be the One" is the go-to. Which you've done. we're good. =)
I try to live in the moment. lol.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope the way you do it works really well. It helps that you actually have something to say, of course. :p
@@j.f.fisher5318 It makes me happy to know that people feel like I actually contribute something. I can't help but question myself sometimes.
Having actually seen them Live... their stage presence , Tati's charisma, mesmerizing.
I can totally believe that!
@Michael Price 100% agree!
I can't wait. I'm going September 13th to see them in Mesa!
She is also a very sweet lady. I met her in Wisconsin in November
I have tickets for Racine, WI this October. I’m so stoked to see them live
I love how attentive to detail you are
Thank you! I try to take it all in. Sometimes we don't even realize that it's the subtle little things that subconsciously cause us to feel certain things.
The Moral Misanthrope you’re so correct
She doesn't glide, she strides. She doesn't walk, she STALKS. Her energy and presence, frantic and frenetic....Jesus Fucking Christ I love this woman.
Greetings from 2024.
They really do. It's amazing to hear and watch. The have a very unique energy.
I've only gotten into them since a couple of weeks but I'm going to see them live. Because they're just the hottest band out there right now. And Tatiana's PHENOMENAL. As a vocalist myself She blows me away every single time.
Nice! I tried to purchase meet & greet tickets a few days ago and the show closest to me was sold out, sadly.
Just a few "fun facts" about this festival:
- It's a Hardcore/Punk and Metal festival, usually a 3-day festival at the beginning of July, with the main bands from each genre playing in separate days.
7:22 - What she does it's not attention calling. The lyrics are so meaningful and she's so into them on stage that she "acts" them. Take a look at the lyrics for this song and you'll see that the gestures she does on stage are kind of a visual description of what she's singing. Remember the slapping and the smile gestures in Teacher, Teacher? : )
9:35 - There she goes again: "this bull-headed boy". \m/
13:40 - They didn't know, they were just filming her and caught that. Even Tatiana confessed that it wasn't intentional, she didn't realize she had done that until she saw the video. This moment has kind of become the 2nd "Pisces Chorus Moment" in reactions. :D
I had heard the studio version of this before and I didn't really like the chorus, it sounded a little too out-of-place and too "poppy" compared to the rest of the song.

It's starting to look like that's going to be what happens.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Don't forget I Speak Astronomy, the official video.
Fuck yeah bud I've been enjoying your Jinjer reactions. I'm seeing them in November in Seattle. So stoked. I havent been this awe struck by a band in forever. Keep doing what you're doing and stay classy🤘
Thank you so much! I'm hoping I get to see them as well!
I will see you there!
Yeah, that definitely makes sense. I've seen that done at festivals with the huge screens.
(I appreciate that you listened to my previous comment on Jinjer, by the way.)
Out of curiosity, have you listened to Leprous or Allegaeon?
Same here, I am confused too haha
She really is unlike anything I've ever seen or heard before. What I have to question is how is she even REAL. lol. She has to be from another dimension.
@@andreamoya5569 It's 2019, it's totally okay to be confused. I'm sure I would be too if I was a woman. lol.
@@TheMoralMisanthropeLMAO yeah she's real but like you said, from another dimension...or planet! she is totally surreal!

The word you are looking for is 'joy'.
They are a MUST see! Saw them in Dallas last year. Awesome show.
I will hopefully be seeing them in September!
Good observation on how amazing Tatiana's stage presence and charisma is.
It's absolutely unreal! She really does own the stage and the crowd.
Ref the footwear - One of the things I've noticed about Ms Shmaylyuk at outdoor venues, is that she goes for practical; comfortable, and reasonably grippy in the wet.
I think beyond practicality it's just her style in general, which is really cool.
Thank you! Hopefully I should be seeing them in September!
My guy I saw them on Friday in Cape Town and it Is the best Show I've ever seen! Hands down GOD DAMN WICKED PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!! I definitely recommend getting tickets
I definitely am planning on it!
It's so well done and refreshing to our experienced ears, maybe that's why many of us "old school", 50+ metalheads like Jinjer so much.
I plan on doing a 2 part reaction to that set!

Love that you catch, dissect, and gush as much as I do over every little nuance that each band member throws at us.

This is one of the best reaction videos, you catch so much
In one video great job.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Killin' it. I was waiting for a reaction to this one because I knew the eye opening thing would get you haha
She mentioned in an interview that it wasn't rehearsed or anything and was just an on the spot improvisation in this performance.

I'm definitely loving the live things I've heard just on youtube alone. I can only imagine how incredible it sounds live in person!
Hey dude, it's the end of the set she says green and they scream. She's got him by the balls already. Hey if you want to check out a good ballad, check out Bad Water.
I like your comments on the camera work.
Thank you! That kind of stuff fascinates me. If I had the money, time, and resources, I would totally be trying to make short films.
I think I commented this before, but don't know if it was on your channel.
But most EU festivals have up to a dozen cameras recording all performances. Some or sometimes all of it is televised, a ton of it is streamed, Bands often use the footage for live performance videos, etc
You can be sure there's 2 cameras pointed at her face at all times, one on every band member and several taking moving scenes.

@@TheMoralMisanthrope They are hitting most of all the big cities in the U.S. I'll be at the Oklahoma City show. Check out their tour dates and road trip even if you have to go by yourself. I saw them in Denver last year by myself and had a blast.
@@herbivore7108 They're not even going to be in my state. Closest place is like 2 and a half hours away, but I think I'm still gonna do it.
Great reaction! 👍🏼
great react dude !! ;) now ... CLoud Factory live by Jinjer please :)
..😝😝😝😁😁😁😁 What a treat man, I'm sharing your enthusiasm really similar mine too.! You have to watch 'em.! A small tip. Use cursor/arrow keys on the keyboard when seeking (~10 sec steps) the video. Also J K L works (step back | play/pause | step fwd). Fine tune with mouse.
Thanks, I will look into that. I didn't realize that was actually thing. I'm just used to looking at the little image as I move the cursor.
Those are indeed some sick riffs at the start. Check out the official video on your own. ua-cam.com/video/9Y_GvS68h_Y/v-deo.html
I was waiting to see what your reaction to Tati's eyelids would be, and you didn't disappoint! That was golden!
That was definitely a moment!
He stopped the vid at the perfect moment. As he was talking, I'm staring at those eyelids thinking, "She's gonna freak him out, she's gonna freak him out when he notices." She didn't disappoint. ;)
jezz dude... i love your attention to details haha
you should check ERRA ... sick metal prog band
Thank you! I am not familiar with them, so I will definitely have to check them out!
They have a US tour later this year.
Hopefully I will be going!
@@TheMoralMisanthrope yeah that does sound painful.
Eugene has more reasons for being embarrassed, after practicing at herself he was the next victim ;)
Maybe you should check out this vid ---> ua-cam.com/video/8KqpdvlGUdE/v-deo.html
Probably too long for a reaction video, but for your own entertainment, check out the "Live in Madrid" video. Full live set list in a small club from a few years back. Good stuff.
oh! That sounds AWESOME! Will definitely check that out!
"Fuck me up fam."
You might try using the arrow keys on your keyboard for running it back a bit. A little easier than fishing thru the scroll bar with your cursor. Just a suggestion. Either way, though, love ur vids, dude. Rock on.... 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you very much! I will try to give that a test run.
I'm curious what you'll say about Jinjer - SIT STAY ROLL OVER.
As for me it's a greatest speedy thing in metal.
I saw a small part of that video back when it first came out, but I wasn't really into that kind of sound back then, so I didn't give it a fair chance. I just vaguely remember a dog being in it or something. I'm sure I'll get around to it soon though. It would be cool to back into it fresh and with an open mind now.
who else besides Tatiana can get away with socks ? :D
That's true.
Lol, I've got extra tickets for Atlanta if you're near there. I think they are sold out now
Closest place to me they're playing is Greenville SC. Atlanta is a little over 4 hours from me. Hopefully they will still have tickets for Greenville next week when I get paid.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope yeah, they still have VIP seating there when I looked yesterday. Cool, good luck!
@@bobbyntanya SWEET! Thank you!
@@TheMoralMisanthrope 125 bucks you get ticket and a Meet and Greet with the Goddess herself...... that might be a little too much for the ticker tho
@@bobbyntanya Oof. lol. Yeah, as much as I would LOVE to meet her, $125 is a little much right now.
if your curious about some early jinjer check out outlander from 2014 very cool stuff tatiana had dreadlocks
I've seen a couple pics of her with the locks.
Please react to Outlander live video it’s another amazing song by them
It will probably happen soon. It has been suggested a few times.
By the way, it's probably easier to navigate through the video with arrow keys rather than clicking and dragging.
6:45 ha ha ha, you´re so funny...
I was wondering if anyone was gonna say anything about that. lol. I felt kind of bad after I watched it, but it still made me chuckle a little.
Filmed with multiple cameras then edited in post production
Makes sense
Lol
@@williamduckett3407 It kind of is. I mean I really just want to buy some of their music just so I can jam out in my car.
12:35 wins.
Do Jinjer - Perennial.
That will be happening soon!
1:38 Thanks for the ear rape dude. Subbed.
I always forget that a lot of people use headphones. lol. I never do, so it slips my mind very easily. I need to put on some headphones and see what that sounds like. Thanks for the sub!
@@TheMoralMisanthrope Ya man its about 50/50 where I wear headphones or listen thru speakers. Caught me when I had my headset on lol
How did they know she was going to open her eye. More than one camera with one camera always being on Tatianna.
I totally get it, man. Tati's a sexy beast!
I certainly cannot argue that.
Where you from brother?
Good Ol' Southeastern US. lol.
Hey man I'm in NC myself, no metalheads around Tho so that blows haha
You've fallen deep down the jinjer whole sir. I recommend you take a short break to deep dive into the songs you've already discovered, recharge yourself and then come back to jinjer reactions once you've recovered
If you want to see them live they have a tour of north america coming up in the fall. Most venues have tickets for sale already
Most of the venues i saw are smaller. My local venue is only 800 ppl with a 200 overflow in the bar area
They're playing a venue that's about 2.5 hours away from me, and I think I'm going to go ahead and try to get tickets when I get paid next week.
Oh...my...Baphy, you pause alot 😱
Nope...actually might like you.
Not this time.
Wrong version, not your fault.
you might be great if it were the right version...
Wait... I'm confused... wrong version of the song, or wrong version of ME? If you're referring to the song, this was the version that came repeatedly suggested. If you're referring to me, I am currently seeking treatment for existing simultaneously between 2 dimensions. I can't help it.
@@TheMoralMisanthrope
If I could only be the right version of me....
watched a few more,
still hangin on,
but I stand by it:
Captain Clock (original lyric video)
is significantly better (to react to)
if it's about reacting to live Jinjer, "Who's Gonna Be the One" is the go-to. Which you've done.
we're good. =)
