Striped Bass Fishing Insanity

Striped bass fishing May 18th 2016 in Raritan bay new jersey. About 50 striped bass caught in a few hours and almost all being released. All fish were caught on bunker and Johnny Bucktail style

Gut hooked or torn gills and blood on the deck,I'm sure all these fish survived.If you are catch and release fishing use circle hooks so the fish are hooked in the corner of the mouth then I will believe most all these fish will survive.I have fished in the Chesapeake bay for striped bass over 35yrs I know what I'm talking about.I can jig up stripers anywhere anytime of the year and never have blood on the deck of my boat because there always hooked in the mouth with the best chance for survival after being released.
