Thanks John. This was not a simple concept to distill and present. Kudos.

I've watched multiple videos on verifiable credentials. There are also some really good ones by John Craddock - I believe he did the same comparison with the drivers license. But honestly you are once again delivering the hands down absolute best explanation. Thank you 🙂

Best explanation of practical W3C Verified Credentials I have found yet. John Savill is a technical guru with unusually excellent communications skills. (And the Microsoft commercial Azure implementation of VC is pretty impressive as well)

What an eye opener. This will go a long way to assuaging peoples fear of governments and corporations harvesting your personal information.

    Thank you a lot, John.
Thanks to your cram videos, I have passed AZ-900, DP-900, and AI-900.
I am currently on track to complete SC-900.
Your explanation really clears up all my confusion about security and credentials.
Can't thank you a lot. Please continue your effort on making great videos as they are a lifesaver for people like me.

Somehow got lost between Mars data and Bitcoin - first time touching DID, will need to go over it a few more times. As always, thanks for your time and the detailed explanation of the concepts.

Supper interesting, thanks. I used to deliver a lot of training around around certificates, PKI and authentication/authorisation, so this certainly feels like a natural progression. I must admit, cramming this amount of research to deliver at this depth into a week feels like a bit of a mind melt though.

Reminds me of GPG / PGP and trust networks.
Was just to complicated for most people to keep there private credentials and not lose it.

I can't believe I just sat through 2 hours of identity talk at 8pm lol. This was great! Thank you!
Can this be deployed without having an actual website as a company? Just with a verified domain for example?

So there are many ways to issue and verify. Look at the methods and what service you wish to use. Entra supports web and ion for example.
