If you lost your device or someone stole it, someone can't just reset it from recovery mode to use it themselves or sell it.

I believe you have to remove the security on the phone such as: finger prints and pin to bypass the FRP. Thats why he asked you to put in your thumbs or pin number in the video. Followed your instructions and was expecting to be asked for the Google account it was linked to before it was reset, but all I got was asked to sign into a Google account, anyways thank you, was tearing my hair out as the Samsung account it was linked to had an old number on the 2 step verification and couldn't get passed it

I want to see the whole google verification thing. Does it only need a google account? And before I reset it, do you need to synced your acc in your phone? And also, is it ok if I just log in my acc few days ago?? Wish there was a way to save all settings and apps when you no longer have your old phone. I had to do a factory reset after the fingerprint did not work and I had not set up a backup password. So I had to reenter everything from scratch.
Now, if you log into a different google account before doing the 3 button factory reset, would that work? or do you still need the previous google account info to be able to input a new one?

Hi pressed the down button like you first said and now I can't do anything with the phone..it has a blue page saying Downloading, I tried to hold the power button for 20 seconds but nothing is happening.. Root junky I need help. My S7 Edge is saying unauthorized factory reset and won't let me enable wifi due to it. It's not asking for my google account which I knew it wouldn't as I didn't have it locked with password though my google account was logged in. I did a factory reset due to unresponsive touch screen and once I did that and tried logging in via wifi that prompt cam up.

I have an S7 edge that I found in a throwout. I charged it up, powered it on and it was stuck in a boot loop. I did a hard reset and get the message (after signing in to my own account) to sign into the account it was previously synced with - which I don't know. What can be done? Would Samsung clear the previous account? Pity they didn't make it simple by not needing to use a previous account, just a full reset and use it.

Backup and "Reset" isn't what mine says.
- Mine says Backup and Restore, and there's no Factory Reset option.
- My Reset is under General Management

Yes as long as they haven't hacked into the system if the device and achieved root access.
