MyNBA needs a lot other work, but I’m definitely surprised there were no FIBA or Olympics announcement as FIBA has been implemented in MyCAREER. Seems like a missed opportunity.
the issue with all these “new features” is that they’re mostly unnecessary, id say with the exception of the return of ‘my GM’, i’ve found myself constantly asking “ok…. but why..?” 9000+ NEW ANIMATIONS!!! (ok…. but why?) there seems to be this idea of quantity over quality, when i guarantee you that if they really tried to make a faithful basketball game with accurate and stable AI, better face scans and graphics, better myplayer story or yk literally any other improvement then they would sell all the copies they want!
2K is so watered down nowadays. I used to love playing in the park. Now you have to do all these missions that have nothing to do with basketball, skateboard around a giant map to get to a park to play, shots and dribbling are messed up. Seems like EA isn’t putting that much time, effort and money into it to keep profits as high as possible. Probably will be the first 2k I have never bought
wish they had someone like you or other creators that play this give them ideas because we all know stuff we wish we could get but we will never get it. just like the buyouts or trading people while injured or even the contracts like you said. it'll just be the same thing every year with maybe one or 2 changes that we care about
In 2k upload of this video all comments by kids saying this mode don’t matter but they don’t know this is what made 2k, this mode here and continues to do so, so many ppl do franchise mode in all sports games. By views alone on YT it’s through the roof, in my opinion it’s that infant park mode or whatever it’s called now that specific mode ruined 2k completely, because comments on there was talking about that park mode, anyways in my opinion man they need to get rid of park mode and make it into its own game like nba street or nfl. I am disappointed that my NBA has not changed one bit. It sound like we have the same set up every year and they don’t really focus on that. Yes they sat there and added that you can go up to 36 teams or less any sports game can do that. If they wanted to be creative, they could’ve just added where players on the teams if they weren’t happy, they can request trades or if we had players that were retiring and wanted to go into coaching that should be an option. I noticed that they mention perks that we get in my NBA, but it sounds like they took what we were getting off of my player or my career and added it to my nba I mean if you look at it, they give you a perk where if you’re in game seven you’ll be able to close a team out because everybody on your team is hot so they will score they took that off of my player or my career. It’s just disappointing to see that they focused so much into my GM and my NBA is always going to be the same. It’s very disappointing.
The truth is the real in depth GM players already know these are in the game already.. just go to edit coaches and you can already set Explayer or charisma.... don't let them fool you... all they really added is walking free roam
It would be cool if they fixed the bugs that have been in the game for years. Like online leagues not advancing past player progression. Or the whole game crashing when entering free agency 🤦♂️
I wish every 4 years in the dynasty you could possibly have players selected for the Olympic teams and you get a side tournament you can choose to play or not every 4 years

I think 2K has always had a lot of depth and I think it always compares very favourably to Madden and other sporting games. I feel like in terms of features, the NBA Pre-season should be added to the schedule and the ability to sign players to exhibition 10 contracts during the offseason would be really good additions. The first and second aprons as well as other CBA logic should be added as well although it is very complicated and I imagine it would be a nice trap for new players. I think the main thing 2k needs to do is what Matt has been talking about which is tinkering with the trade/contract logic to make the AI make smarter decisions. I feel like they’ve been working on it for a while but it still needs work based on the moves we see in Matt’s rebuilds. The trouble is, it’s tough to know what is realistic and what is so stupid it should never work. If the Rudy Gobert trade was automatically generated by the AI in my game and I had trade override on (I usually do) I would have not allowed it to go through as I would’ve thought there was no way Minnesota would want to do that trade, but it literally did happen in real life so it has to be considered realistic. It’s a hard balancing act, hopefully they are working on it behind the scenes. Disclaimer: havdn’t played since 2k22, and nowadays I only play 2k19 because that had my favourite gameplay
They should add FIBA/Olympics in the MYNBA mode. You should have a choice to do it or not. Maybe allowing us to coach in the Euro league, then get a dream job in the NBA will cool. Lastly, the gameplay should try to resemble the free flowing game of the NBA. As of now, it is not. Transition points and especially transition 3 are hard to get naturally. The overly physical contact is also unrealistic, because that’s a foul in today’s game. The should get more physical in the playoffs, not in the regular season. Right now, I’ll pass on this game.
🫤I’m a huge fan of the My Staff!! The Hiring and firing coaches(all 17) and I will definitely miss that feature. 😔 I always had a great staff which made me comfortable when building my franchise team.

Honestly my biggest issue with 2k my NBA or my GM modes, is with the terrible generated draft class. I feel like they need to fix that because it’s TERRIBLE.
This is a a good step by bringing back MyGM mode hopefully for the upcoming 2ks in the future we will see their other recent features on the game mode wayback from 2k10 like: Draft combines, work out or maybe add some playable draft combine drills but overall its nice to see some improvements on MyGM.
I would like them to add 2-3-2 format for my nba when you get to that period, and with that have the ability to keep it in place instead of going back to 2-2-1-1-1 for the 2014 season
if you played 2K5 the gm convos are a welcome sign back to old times, so idk with all the lack of optimism and too much doubt is why we’re never satisfied
I’ll just be honest…this sucks. This is terrible. We are in 2024 and what they’re pushing is RPG over Simplicity and depth. Can we improve draft and trade logic, can we add buyouts, can we add stars who truly value winning and will request to be traded if you can’t win x amount of games or make x amount of playoff appearances, player development is also terrible franchise genuinely is about trade this and trade that. There’s nothing viable for anyone who genuinely wants to develop because the lack of training camps in the off season and the workout scheduling during season is also piss poor. Development should be stat and award based with each stat and each award holding a certain base level (ROTY +2 to OVR rating, All rookie 1st team +1 to OVR rating, MVP should be +5) all within the peak start and peak end for a player make it worth while to put players in position for awards
None of this stuff is new. They just added new stuff to old ideas and called it brand new. They have been doing this for nearly a decade now, how are they still getting away with this?

2K adds one or two very basic new features, 100 hours of cut scenes, adds more sweat to players and a new colour scheme on menus and calls it a day. Absolute joke of a company
