    I love this tutorial. It reminds me of one of the last quilts my Mom had planned for my brother before she passed away. I will definitely put this on my project list.
    Thank you!

    This is very nice ! Teaching how to make tumblers without asking us to buy another special tool hon ! I can see this video is years old but these are becoming about rare today ! I hope you have more newer videos maybe would be nice ! I wanna take a quilting class so bad to get my feet wet into quilting ! Inspiring myself I have some patterns I’ve bought but they seem advance and I’m not good at reading directions ! One day I will have a UA-cam channel and I will teach and inspire to help ladies /gents who can’t afford a special ruler as they use to teach years ago it seems but not as much any more !

    GREAT tutorial!!! I love how you explain things simply in your videos and give optional layouts for the blocks!! Most of the other sites just focus on shoving some unnecessary tool down your throat and not the quilting itself!! Thanx again!!

    Thank you for not telling us we need to buy another ruler/template. 😊. And I do like the first alternating tumblers and the tumbler stripes also give the imagination free range using favorite fabrics. I do like the clean simplicity of the black and white. Thank you!

    I actually bought the 5" tumbler ruler and could have saved that money to buy fabric.:) Your way is exactly the same results. You explain and show A-Z step which help me start and finish without guessing what to do next.

    What a fantastic tutorial. I am a complete novice and was just going to try and make my first quilt with squares as I have limited tools, a cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler.. This was so clear and simple I’m now thinking I could do this without investing vast amounts of money in equipment. Thank you so much.

    Thanks, I had wondered which angle is used for tumblers. You are brilliant. I just looked at a tumbler triple play at Missouri star, using their template rulers. One of the ladies used 2 3/4" strip sets for her four-patch alternate blocks, unfinished at 5" square. A revelation for me. Jenny Doan then said, they look like flower pots, so the flower could be placed on the alternate or background shapes. What a pretty idea... and the other lady put diagonal stripes in her charm squares. Very fun, though confusing to lay out. Thanks again, I don't need a special ruler for just one quilt. All the best.

    Thank you for showing us that we can make this shape without having to buy any special tool or template. I would love to use these colors,but I would add a sliver of red in between just to add a pop of color. I love all your videos and I'm anxiously awaiting for new ones to come.

    Hi when making a 10 inch tumbler, what the narrow edge measure please? Thanks

  • @BrokebutCreative
    @BrokebutCreative 11 років тому

    I was thinking of sewing them in "tubes" and then cutting one of the tumblers down the middle (of off center) that way you have a straight edge to work with. I don't want a really lined up look. I like abstract wonky things. Would that work?
