I remember so many years ago I was really in the Doctor Who and I really would have loved to place in a commission to San but it's sad to see that he's gone from the biz, yet this design that I see that you guys came up with is giving me ideas for my own and I may try to take my hand into trying to make a sonic screwdriver similar to this, but right now I'm just going down memory lane as I've returned to watching Doctor Who. (I'm not a big fan of the new doctor but I have some hope, I don't know maybe I'm just too big of a classic Who fan even though I feel too young to be one)
I actually love your reviews!! It's so cool how you get all these sonic screwdrivers!/ make them. It's like a doctor who dream to actually have one Hahha. But that's awesome !!!
GGreviews Thank you very much! Even though I don't make any of them I often have a hand in the research and design. This one is the best custom colab I have ever enjoyed. It really makes me happy that you and many others enjoy these videos. I hope to have more in place over time.
For some reason this doesn't seem like something the doctor would carry but maybe a different time lord don't know why. Still excellent design and beautifully designed!
Very nice! I got a custom Baker in my mind I'd like him to make, though I will need some time to get it drawn up. I'd LIKE to do sound but I'm not too sure yet.
Concreteowl I'm afraid this will probably stay unique as SanHolo80 seems to have quit the biz. Imitation being sincerest form of flattery, however, I would love to see a few people try their hand at an interpretation of my design here.
Such an amazing sonic. What ever happened to sanholo80 just checked doubt some of his sonics and there's people talking about lawsuits against him. Shame he did such amazing work
Spuds Larsson It is a fun piece and it may stay the only one of its kind as the artist that made it for me may be gone for good. That's not to say others may try to duplicate it. I hope people try. It'd be cool to see interpretations of the design pop up.
chewie211171 Thank you very much. Unfortunately, it looks like SanHolo80 has left the biz. I'm hoping he returns but, for now, this will stay as one of a kind.
Mine is the only one ever made, as far as I'm aware. You're welcome to share the video with any artist who has the skills and tools to make one for you. The person who made this one for me left the business years ago.
+The Official Busterowen on my original design it was just a blue dome. SanHolo80 said "I'm thinking about embedding a LED in a quartz crystal" and I was totally like "run with it man! Go go go!" :-)
+Rassilon65 I do not for a few reasons. Primarily my interest is in Classic Series Sonic Screwdriver replicas and customs because I've been a fan of the show since 1980. My first Doctor was Tom Baker. I do have a few New Who pieces, but each tends to have a story attached. Second, the design of the 11th is cool, but I was never a big fan of the colors...until Nick did a personal one for himself in all aluminum and black with blue. SanHolo80's personal one took that variation to new heights and if my fun fund were much more readily available I'd have one of those. Least important: I'm on CT's blacklist. My participation in an internet discussion with a friend, CT took out of context, blew out of proportion, then blogged the hell out of it in his usual entertaining fashion. The end results included his releasing some of my personal information and black listing me from buying from him (not that I had planned on it). I also have had multiple engaging conversations on the web or in person with several people who had received similar treatment (all of whom have become friends of mine now). Some even offered to trade or sell their CT made items but after examining them they didn't really keep my interest. I choose each item in my collection because of how it reminds me of some aspect of my favorite TV show. Collecting, at it's core, is really about having things that make you happy when you see, touch or share them.
+Greatwazoo42 I completely agree with you. The reason I have sonic screwdriver replicas is because it just feels so cool to have a piece of art that looks and functions like you pulled it out of the TV. Also sanholo80 definitely has amazing skills and accuracy while not having any references that I know of. this is a great sonic and great review, I look forward to your next video
+Rassilon65 Thank you very much! :-) More to come when more stuff is in the chest. I've a thing or two that will eventually arrive. Sooner, I hope, than later.
+fraser frazzle Contact SanHolo80 and discuss options with him to get a price. Mine is the prototype so it would be a bit different than one you'd order as first time out of the gate is a lot different than any that follow.
Sadly so. I liked the guy and love his work but he dropped off the map a while back and hasn't resurfaced. I'd love to see him return, fulfill his pending orders and get back into the game full bore but most times when an artist leaves that's it.
The phenomenal T-G-K They are out there but usually the less expensive sonics are simpler or not of the same quality. You often get what you pay for. That's not to say these lower cost sonics are not satifying, they certainly can be. Google and Facebook are good ways to hunt those up.
This Sonic is so beautiful. I would definitely want one of my own. Maybe I'll ask about this one.
+Trenton Bless (Wrestlemania489) SanHolo80 makes them to order. Drop him a message via the info I put in the description and tell him I said hi!
+Greatwazoo42 I did just that, actually.
+Trenton Bless (Wrestlemania489) Excellent. :-)
This is everything I love about sonics put into 1
Thank you very much! We have similar tastes as I designed this as a personal "best of" taken from my own preferences.

Apparently he started losing money and he stole money and didn't make the sonics
it also seems like you have some inspiration from teletrans as well
I Don't like the Seal of Rassolon, and I don't like the exposed wires. But other than that...it's just perfect. It's the quintessential screwdriver.

Soundcard by Plecter Labs?
arandil1 I really don't know.
Interest!

Greatwazoo42 wait, gone for good?
Spuds Larsson Seems like. SanHolo80 vanished and has yet to resurface.
Greatwazoo42 Did RiloKen20 kill him?
Possibly. It wasn't my turn to watch him that week. I was gambling in Cloud City.
very nice. Are these available to buy???
chewie211171 Thank you very much. Unfortunately, it looks like SanHolo80 has left the biz. I'm hoping he returns but, for now, this will stay as one of a kind.
how much was this one and do you think it would be more money if i could ask him to change the crystal led to green or does it have to stay blue
I actually don't remember how much this cost but it wasn't cheap, this was a very involved build.
Does anyone still make this via commission? Even just a hero version?

Nevermind about my last comment) I love the emitter actually lol :)
Some of it takes a little time to sink in. ;-)
Defo as like i thought it was just not electronic at first but then you pulled the neck down and saw the lights and sound and i loved it! :D
+The Official Busterowen on my original design it was just a blue dome. SanHolo80 said "I'm thinking about embedding a LED in a quartz crystal" and I was totally like "run with it man! Go go go!" :-)
Where can I buy one of these??
SanHolo80 makes them. You can reach out to him here via his channel.
Okay thank you
